Currently figuring how to Ng+in ps4. It doesnt work the old way but have a quick save at the ending scene with rosy bird and theres a bug. Ima crack the code.

22 years later and this game is still just legendary and timeless as ever. So glad I can replay this game on modern consoles. Let’s hope it boosts up interest and we get a new game. It’s a no brainer

I started playing this last night after I heard it got patched up. It had been performing well so far in the beginning. Planning to keep playing so hopefully the dragoon mode is fixed.

Glad to see the patches. I remember before the internet that patches were rare but whenever it did happen you’d have to either send in your memory card to get the patch, get lucky and have a download station near you or they just reprinted the game with the patch in place.

@@ErekLadd I know today’s landscape is at least cheaper/easier to push. It protects that bottom line for publishers. I’d also put the blame on publishers for setting unrealistic deadlines so developers have to rush to at least make a game “playable” knowing they can at least push a patch after the deadline.

@@geoffreychauvin1474 I grew up in the 90s as well. What I’m remembering is in the ps2- GameCube era was when reprints or memory swaps happened.

Sometimes you could send your disc/cartridge in and get it replaced with the patched one. It was very rare for a game to be broken enough at launch for a patch to be necessary enough to actually do this though.

I'm getting a PS5 next week and this is one of the games from my childhood and while I haven't searched for stuff on it via YT, this was randomly in my feed and I'm glad to see this got patched cause I had no idea there was going to be an issue with it and I feel like if I had discovered it myself, my nostalgia for the game would have been wrecked. Anyways, good video.

They won't, they have the same mindset as modern square Enix they think turn based games don't sell even if you waved persona series in their face they will still tell you it's unprofitable sadly. They will continue doing half assed ports instead.

I made it to disc 4 treating it as a challenge using no dragoon magic with a party of Meru and Miranda. Since they’re now 6 levels ahead of the other characters guess I’ll stick with this party, but confirmed that dragoon magic works

Gotta do it! It’s 100% worth the playthrough if you get the time. Legend of dragoon to me was always one of the more underrated JRPGs of that era. If you’re looking for something else maybe try grandia as well 🤔

Yes technically! I think having to use the rewind feature to skirt around a really awful bug can be a bit tedious! I know some people have almost cleared the game this way but glad it’s sorted for everyone now.

Compared to the more visually stunning and faster paced narrative driven games that are out today I understand this game cane be a bit of a slow burn, but I still think it's great now!
