Ahoy! It's time for another classic for the 8BitStereo Revamp, with a new Zelda game around the corner, it lined up perfectly to finally upload the one that started it all, The Legend of Zelda! The classic Nintendo title that gave us a brilliant open world experience, from the expansive overworld, to the colorful and challenging labyrinths, and of course, Koji Kondo's iconic music! While a simple OST, the few looping tracks are all staples of the series, the Title BGM is enough to get anyone going for an adventure, and Kondo shows his prog rock influence as the beginning has been compared in recent time to the beginning of "April" by Deep Purple. Overworld BGM, Underground BGM, and Death Mountain BGM all stellar in fitting the vibe, with the Overworld being among the most recognized tunes in all of VGM. The Ending Theme as well a nice cute and jaunty end when finished with your stellar adventure! Kondo of course using his own Sound Driver he created to craft the songs as he wanted under the unique 4 sound channels, and even throwing sample usage with the Boss Nearby/Hit, Sword Beam and Link Hit SFX's before honing his sample usage as he would in SMB 2 & 3! And as usual the titles take from official releases of the games music, always try my best to keep it as accurate and concise as possible! The game was originally released on the Famicom Disk System in Japan, and took until 1994 to be released on Cartridge without any of the fancy FDS extras, however it was experienced, it's still that same fun and great Zelda title that has given us so much good times. Thank you to all current and new Patrons at Tiers 2 & 3 for your support of what I do, much appreciated and if you want your name to be featured on uploads you can support here: ❤ www.patreon.com/nikotengoku ❤
Open world is right!! Breath of the Wild felt to me like a throwback to Zelda 1. Having grown up with Zelda 1 and 2 on the NES, BotW honestly felt like I was playing the spirit of the original, but heavily enhanced. I wasn't just playing Zelda, I was living in it.
Wow, awesome work with this one! Are you planning on doing Kirby's Adventure soon? I don't wanna prod too much, but I love that soundtrack with all my heart and I'd love to hear your remaster of it! ^^
It was 1987, I had just woken up. Christmas morning. There's a big box under the Christmas tree 🎄 It has my name on it. I tear open a small corner... I see an unfamiliar dark blue. I tear away some more. There's a huge red N staring back at me. I rip off the rest of the wrapping. I am in absolute hysteria. NINTENDO ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM. with THE LEGEND OF ZELDA. I open up the box, greeted by that familiar new car smell. Dad helps me connect it to the TV in the living room. We boot up the game. You legit brought me to tears with this stereo intro theme.
I remember that Christmas. Omg getting Nintendo with Super Mario Bros and Duck Hunt. That was such an amazing time to be a kid. I truly wish I could go back to those simpler times and do it all again. 🙁
I do the same. Also with Link to the Past for SNES. I do zelda 2 the adventures of link every 2 to 3 years since it can be frustrating regardless of how many times you have beat it lol.
When I was a kid my mom got me zelda and I was really too young to understand it. She took it back. I am glad later on I revisited it and its one of my favorite games.
0:10 ~~~ THE LEGEND OF ZELDA ~~~ Many years ago Prince Darkness "GANNON" stole one of the TRIFORCE with power. Princess ZELDA had one of the TRIFORCE with wisdom. She divided it into "8" units to hide it from "GANNON" before she was captured. GO FIND THE "8" UNITS "LINK" TO SAVE HER. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ And thus began the greatest Legend in gaming.
And to think, Koji Kondo had to write the theme because Ravel's "Bolero" was still under copyright. At least we still got one of the greatest themes ever to exist.
What is up with the upper left quadrant of the shield in the boxart? Isn’t there supposed to be a heart in that quadrant as well instead of that weird corrugated metal thingy? 🤨
