I don't talk about it much but I live with an incurable illness that's forced me to rely on my RU-vid channel as my only source of income to survive. I agree, the bass from the subwoofer is very faint. I tried re calibration and still no better. If I cannot get it going any better I will send it back.

I bought this and returned it the next day. It had no oomph. Nothing. That middle up firing speaker sounds terrible.

Last year, Samsung also bought a couple of bloggers for such reviews, nothing new, all according to the same manual, point by point, money was also added to Rtings and Samsung has 8 soundbars in the top 10, this is funny, enjoy the marketing and not the quality =)

Huge thing with the LG wow soundbar IMO is to make sure you DON'T run the sound output in "HDMI (ARC)+TV speaker mode. There must be something wrong with the programming or software and the sound is way less dynamic then if it's in HDMI (ARC) alone. This mode means the soundbar is handling the sound entirely on its own and the sound is far more dynamic, far more punchy, head and shoulders better than with the TV combined. There's been a few bad reviews for these bars, I'm presuming they are all listening in what should be the best mode but it's simply not. The sound is awesome when the bar itself is looking after the task on its own.

Did you keep the "Surround Sound Setting" under the "Settings by Speakers" menu on while testing? Looking at your footage it looks like this was kept on... It needs to be off for the soundbar to work correctly. Keeping that on will play all audio through all speakers at the same time which sounds terrible. I just got the S95QR and it sounds phenomenal as long as that's off. It only took a few quick searches online so see other owners saying to do this.

I went through almost every setting testing different sound modes and configurations and can confirm that audio was spread across different channels as it should be.

set of rear speakers won't work if we don't on surround sound option . i hv 5.1 lg sn6y wd rear speakers .

According to someone that just unboxes the sound bar? Till someone would bother to test and properly review the new line of soundbars is still a draw between these two. Samsung has a good Dolby Atmos representation but LG has a better soundstage. And blasting Samsung at full volume would show how crappy it is at least LG put some quality drivers in their soundbar. Anyway if someone would look to have Dolby Atmos would not buy a soundbar and here Samsung got it with the mainstream and hypermarketing. Their soundbar is just hypermarketed, nothing more nothing less. Blasting full volume show how crappy it is... 11 channels vs 9 can't even be compared but you are a little fan boy...

I just see all reviews are the same and a shame, all reviewers copying each other arguing the same things, but the fact is i never had any problem with sound, app, etc , perhaps the only issue its about the subwoofer, but listening atmos music and playing xbox atmos games or 4K atmos blurays i think sound much better than Samsung or Sony for the same price 639 euro here and improved a lot my 2021 sp11 ra , the last software update made it much better

What’s the difference between this one & the S95QR I got it as a birthday gift for myself to go with my lg c1 I got in 2021 I love the soundbar I think it sounds great compared to my cheap tcl one I was using.

The LG S95TR needs a led display on the front to actually help users know what mode the soundbar is in and what type of connection it’s using. Yes I know they can be distracting, but it’s not hard to put an option to turn the LED display off once you’ve got it set to your desired settings. It’s ridiculous that LG can’t get the basics like this right. I’m going for the Samsung S990D, it’s the better soundbar and it seems more user friendly.

Yea I've reviewed a few soundbars now and always find myself using my phone app vs the remote which is maybe what they have in mind? That's a double edged sword in some cases because I've had apps not work as they should and have trouble connecting to the soundbar.

I have the s95qr and happy with it and this bar is too similar to upgrade. Plus this bar at release is less experience as s95qr I believe released at 1700.

Yea give it some time and the price will probably come down as well as firmware updates but you're most likely not going to notice a big difference. I'm trying to decide whether upgrading my home theater receiver and speakers would be worth it but I gotta remind myself I'm already happy with what I've got and try to not to spend money on unnecessary things lol

at 4:04, it says "worlds first dolby atmos soundbar with triple upp firing channels" on the unit. I purchased LG SC9S last year. It has 3 up firing speaker. LG is lying?

if you don't need the D 2024 model, get the C. the D model from what I can tell has: google assist, 4k 120 passthrough mainly are the reasons why you'd choose the D model over the C 2023 model.

@@GadgetsGearCoffee i bought the 990d, here in eu in the partner store the difference between the c and d was only 200 euros and with the discount the d is only 1019 euros, and i know there are other feauteres like voice amplifer pro, night private mode and roon

of course it works. Every soundbar works with every TV. only same brand TV and soundbars -sometimes- offer TV-Soundbar speaker combination, advanced interface.

Well like I said I have previous version and this is not huge upgrade and sure if they do firmware updates the previous version will get similar updates and it took along time for the previous one to get first update.

I purchased this Soundbar and within a few hours, I realized that I had made a terrible mistake by buying it. Unfortunately, the sound quality from this Soundbar doesn’t even come close to the sound quality of my previous Sony soundbar that I bought in 2017. The sound is extremely poor, resembling that of a basic computer speaker. It was a painful experience, and after hours of trying different settings and modes, I decided to end the ordeal, disconnect it, put it back in the box, and go back to using my previous device I watched this review before purchasing this Soundbar, but I didn’t listen or understand. Now I realize that this review was honest, and I made a mistake by ignoring it
