In this video, I compare my life before and after having a six-figure tech salary.
Before, I was struggling to make ends meet. But now, with my high-paying tech job, life is better than ever. It's amazing how much difference a big salary can make in your life. Money does not equal happiness, but it does make your life a lot easier.

I Love This Episode! This is finally happening to me. I am making my first jump, from $30,000 to $65,000 a year. This is a life changing jump for me and my family. I can finally pay for my bills and groceries. I can finally pay to live and start pulling myself out of survival mode.

Non-developer making 80,000 a year. Couldn’t be happier. Began at age 33. It’s better than 42 I guess. But couldn’t even begin to imagine making software development income! Wow congrats!

This was so encouraging. Thank you for making a video of how much a blessing money has been for you. You know what it is like to not have money and now to have money. There is a huge difference. Also the struggles of learning disabilities and still learning. I am so happy for you and your success. It is wonderful to watch how your life has changed. That is awesome.

I truly thank God for the life I live now due to being in Tech. But man hearing my life retold to me, though with different details, is crazy lol.

Oh my!!! I can relate…Nursing was the thing…I mean the ONLY thing people knew around obviously. Nursing, X-Ray Tech, Surgical Tech…tried all those and never went though. But I’m glad it didn’t work out cuz those loans would have been wheeew today. I can’t self teach, I need structure and guidance and peers lol. Can’t wait to start my Front-End Web Dev. Thanks much for all you do Chris. Very inspiring!

Thank you for sharing! I am a little more than half way through my Full Stack Flex Bootcamp right now and I am SO ready for this change!! I grew up the oldest of seven, with parents that are addicts/alcoholics. So I’ve been FIGHTING for YEARS to get out of the poor lifestyle I’ve been left with. Scrounging up change etc because all I have worked are low income customer service jobs. I now have a family to take care of so I’m excited and looking forward to this change and doing something I enjoy and have fun with!

Your relationship with school sounds all too familiar, I kinda hated myself during that time. It's partly what motivated me to spend the last 3rd of my life in college to graduate with a CS degree. I'm so used to coming up short that having a good life sounds kind of like a fantasy. I've kind of come to terms that it's not okay to let that bring me down though, things do get better eventually like it did from the start of college to graduation.

I have been on career transition for what it seems like forever. The part when you said when you worked in customer service was so relatable to my situation since it is was the only job that I can work in during college and post-college times. But your videos encouraged me to keep going since there is light at the end of tunnel (Which I hope is a job in tech to help get my finances in order and help my family along the way I can). But backend has been my netural enemy when it comes to programming and understanding the logic in more detail. But I am always willing to take on the challenge of learning a new programming language. However, I am interested in learning Python in boot.dev once I complete the front-end development part.

Hey man, that’s crazy you tried to be an journeyman Electrician. I worked as one for about 4 years. My real dream profession is programming, which I did a bit but stopped because of life decisions. Now I’m starting again, what made me pursue it again was the traveling required for the electrical profession, I was making about $65-70k which isn’t too bad but I was away from home most of the week and worked all day.

Your story is inspiring Chris. I'm from Philippines and I'm already in tech for almost 5 years but I'm still living in paycheck to paycheck. In my previous job, I only have $6k to $7k per year as a full stack software engineer. With my current job, I am around $20k - $22k per year. I became a new dad this year, and I am once again backed against the wall so I search for new ways to earn until I accidentally watch a video of yours and binge-watch. With your channel, my eyes was opened, I should be paid way way more. Thank you Chris.
