The Life of Bobby Jones 

I worked at Sage Valley Golf Club from 2012-2015 and had the pleasure of meeting Bob Jones IV. He was one of the nicest gentleman I’ve ever met. He was just a kind gentle Christian man and I’ll always remember our conversations….love you BOB

My grandfather was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia 1897-1992. He knew Bob Jones very well. Gave him his first lessons at golf at the old East Lake golf course in Atlanta. To this day, I still have my grandfather's old set of Bobby Jones golf clubs including the putter that Jones called the "Calamity Jane". They are rusty now and no longer in playing shape, but the memories are written all over those clubs to be forever cherished. Jones was a true gentleman and scholar. My grandfather had the same special southern speech pattern as Mr. Jones which I still imitate to this day.

Incredible that he had Syringomyelia and all that he accomplished...terrific inspiration for all of us who have Syringomyelia!

The grace, class, and dignity with which Bobby Jones carried himself was then, and remains today, a great example for all to follow. His is a towering legend in the game and his name will live on forever!

Quite simply the greatest golfer of all time.

Bobby had some temper issues,but who hasn’t with a club in his hands! He grew as a husband, a father, a golfer, a scholar, a gentleman, and a real statesman!

I'd say THE greatest golfer that ever lived still looking for a photo of Bob to put on my wall

The photograph of Bobby Jones shooting left handed shows that his dominant eye is his left eye. It would therefore be only natural for him to have his left eye over the ball at impact. and it does look as though the adjustment he made in the hitting area, to ensure that his left eye was over the ball at impact, may have put a lot of strain on his neck. i have been giving the relevant position of the dominant eye in the swing a lot of thought. I am left footed but right handed at somethings and left handed at somethings; and right eye dominant. Certainly, I am not physically be able to swing with my left eye over the ball at impact. If I don't allow my head to move into a position where my right eye is over the ball at impact it does hurt my neck.
