Pain always makes sure each duo has one mature. 2 wild cards in one duo = uncontrollable. Itachi watches kisame, kakuzu watches hidan, sasori watches deidara.
I kinda wish that they bring back Hidan and weave him into a story arc that explores further the Jashin cult, their teachings and esoteric power. Would be interesting to see that there's an alternate system of unexplored power rooted in malicious beings that are native to earth instead of just another stuff appropriated from the Otsutsukis's product.
I'm amazed Orochimaru didn't infiltrate the death cult in order to figure out the secret to immortality. Here Hidan is with a foolproof version of immortality where is Orochimaru version of immortality is basically body-snatching. If I were Orochimaru Id infiltrate the death cult and get their immortality Jutsu.
maybe immortal but still age. Or maybe orochimaru didn't want to pledge his life to a demonic god. Or maybe that immortality techique can't be used at the same time as any other technique, hence hidan knows less techniques than even the lowest level genin.
Hidan was such an unfortunate throwaway character. I absolutely adored him when he was first shown off, and I wish they dived deeper into his religion, and into his life. An amazing character with so little time to shine, which is just not right!!!
I think he was more of average intelligence. But he would very often let his emotions get the better of him so he appears less intelligent. Plus, we don’t see him much in the show at all. He was at least very agile and skilled with his scythe, in one of the movies he takes on multiple leaf shinobi at a time. Pretty badass
@@kingsnazzle2530 Hidan claimed to be the slowest of the Akatsuki yet he pushed Kakashi with his Sharingan on in a melee. I think it's not so much of him being fast or agile, it's just the esoteric nature of his power makes the playing rules in a melee fight very different; Hidan doesn't react the same way to injury or pain, and he only needed to land one hit to technically warrant death on his opponent. His opponent would likely be more on edge than usual fighting him whilst Hidan is morbidly reckless and has the leniency to be so due to his nature. That being said, the fact he mainly flights with an impractical weapon with no special properties to it is hella impressive, it further cements his status as some sort of anomalous being in the world that's by it's own norm is already fantastical to us viewers.
Hidan was certainly perfect for kakuzu, who murdered all his other partners by accident or on purpose. And since Hidan was immortal kakuzu didn't have to worry about hurting him in a match.
@@DefinitelyNotHidan true, though if he wanted to kakuzu probably would’ve left him behind after Asuma sliced his head off. But likely didn’t want to have to go through the process of getting a new partner, plus Hidan would keep yelling until Kakuzu did something to help him.
I remember something that made me laugh really hard was when they were all meeting and Hidan see’s Deidara and is like “Oh, you’re that idiot who lost his arms!” And Kakuzu is like “Better than losing your head.”
Hidan is the only member of Akatsuki to have never met Naruto Uzumaki. However, in the anime of Tsunade's Infinite Tsukuyomi dream, Naruto encounters Hidan.
Hidan could have the been the most op akatsuki memeber ever. He's literally immortal and immune to damage. I believe anyone except the intellect of genius of shikamaru who confronted hidan is an absolute corpse due to his ridiculously op cursed jutsu. However , hidan wasn't so intelligent afterall but if he had a little bit of brain and planning , he could have slaughtered everyone with his jutsu
Imagine if he also had other jutsus. But he wasn't invincible, just as lots of paper bombs fucked him up, so can a jutsu. Actually, if it wasn't for Kakuzu, Asuma would have won since Hidan without the head was pretty useless and they could have sealed him or just cut him more.
hes imortal yes, but hes definitely not immune to damage. if his head or any of his limbs gets cut off, its not coming back in the middle of the fight . i honestly dont see how he can beat anyone else in the akatsuki in a 1v1 fight. theyre all likely faster than him and /or can outrange him.
Literally all the Akatsuki partnerships are just one partner babysitting while the other goes crazy, even Zetsu kinda Itachi babysits Kisame Konan babysits Nagato Kakuzu babysits Hidan Sasori babysits Deidara Black Zetsu babysits White Zetsu
@@Austinfdp exactly he would die after like ten days cus I think that's how long you can go without sleeping or eating plus his body probably got eaten by bugs
shikamaru has IQ 1000000 meaning he can do very complex mathematic calculations. He has intelligence, not wisdom. Kakashi has wisdom. Batman has wisdom. Shikamaru was a boy who used his luck more than his brain. Explain to me how the hell does a lazy guy like him who never ever practiced hand to hand combat, was able to perfectly place blood on hidan's thin spike while swinging at him. Makes no sense. Besides, who are we comparing his intelligence to? Hidan? The biggest retard in akatsuki? Let's compare him to kakuzu... he caught kakuzu in his shadow technique, kakuzu was smarter and got away from it. He planned for kakashi to stab kakuzu, kakuzu fell but didn't account that kakuzu would still be alive. And what other preparations did shikamaru take to fight 2 akatsuki? Nothing. He came ill-prepared. They all died almost, the only reason why they're alive is because they're the good guys. Naruto came to save them. And you call him smart? More like reckless. Didn't plan properly despite knowing full well about his opponents being very powerful.
Hidan’s religion allows him to curse. Jashin is his god and wants Hidan to curse others to allow Jashin to work with Hidan. Basically, Jashin is a complete opposite of Christianity.
Nah, not really Deidara and Kisame suicide. Sasuke had to use kirin to push Itachi towards his limit. Chiyo and Sakura needed each other back and will die against Sasori if Sasori weren't so depressed. Kakuzu... yeah kinda got done dirty but, remember rasen-shuriken is a new invented technique so he had no idea. Hidan by the other hand was outsmart by Shikamaru, but lucky Shikamaru it was because Kakashi was there to help and if he didn't figure Hidan" reaper death seal," it would be death to him. Pain was defeated because Minato interfere. Tobi had to use Izanagi against Konan. Obito was defeated by a literal goodness Naruto & Sasuke have to use the "seal" to stop Black Zetsu and sacrificed their hands in return.
Another sign of respect was when Hidan told Kakuzu he would go to hell for killing a monk, showing that even though he was a firm believer in the religion of Jashin he did respect Chiriku and his fellow monks. But still did partake in killing all the monks since it was a mission for the organization and was his thing; also, it would've been nice to see how the two defeated all the monks in the temple.
Easy, just picture what hidan and kakuzu would have done to kakashi, if they never split up, and you have hidan up close/taijutsu, and kakuzu masks blasting away with powerful elemental damage since hidan cannot die
@@dariussandifer8078 kakuzu would certainly use five elements to eliminate the monks though not in the same way when fighting kakashi and the others. Since those monks probably wouldn’t have required kakuzu to go all out, in that way, and suspect Hidan would’ve done what you suggested.
The fact that Hidan wanted to fight Guy is crazy because I actually believe he would beat Guy after taking a whooping but Guy is hands on and that's exactly what Hidan likes. Guy dies and Hidan is immortal but he would be beat up badly
yeah without intel, hidan is a great counter to Guy's team. The only winning chance team guy has is if Hidan gets to kill tenten or rock lee individually first which allows neji to deduce how the ritual works (or at the very least, the team deduces to not let hidan swipe your blood any cost) and guy goes 7-gate and disarms him and proceeds to break most of his bones, but thats like a 2% chance kind of scenario.

Hidan is my favorite Naruto Villain. This is something I told my daughter yesterday. I never typed anything about him on the internet, or spoke about on the phone, yet this vid was #3 on my feed. We've already lost, so abandon hope.
He need more screen time, he isn't like the other shinobi who is from big and famous village, Hidan is from Yugakure and we never know about that place in the anime
I’m sad that Hidan was just buried alive by paper bombs and Hidan was just a great character in Akatsuki if he wasn’t so arrogant he would be a top Akatsuki member.
@@fate4034 Sorry for replying a little late. Hidan is gone for good. In the show, it says the only way Hidan can die is from malnutrition ( happens from not eating). This also was a canon episode. It could’ve been episode 88 I think?
Even if hidan is still alive buried under there bugs would have eaten him alive, especially because his body is scattered around and he has no way to fend them off. The bugs would crawl in his ears, nostrils, or neck wound and eat his brain
