I love how calm Katara is even when people are yelling at her. Also I feel Katara is a perfect representation of her element, most of the time she's calm and collected but when the people she loves are threatened she lets lose a storm in order to protect them.
Very sad headcanon: katara was the last one to die in the gaang. I like to think she would live long enough to meet a few of her great grandchildren most likely in her mid 90s to early 100s. Also would most likely give her necklace to either jinora or ikki. Also here is my death order and i downright refuse to believe suki died young. Aang, sokka, suki, zuko, toph, and katara.
@@diegovilla3879fr 🥺 me too that’s why i reallly want a reboot but a cartoon version picking up where we left off with aag and them . Want to see her when she’s pregnant and stuff
I think you meant to say that Katara is similar to Iroh where she gives advice and offers wisdom to the younger characters at that time. Iroh is still in LOK, remember that Kora found him in the spirit world. But Katara dose resemble him in the same form of loving guidance for those around her just like Iroh did, but both have their own distinct differences.
I see people hating on Katara for bringing up her mother's death so often but if you remember, after Katara saw Yon rah in her house, she went to get her father, during this time Kya was killed. 8 year old Katara and her father went to their tent but Kya was already dead. Yoh Rah left her body there. Katara saw her mother's corpse, burnt and charred. Poor Katara. :(
And what not many people realize is the human nature is that her keep bringing her mother up, not only helps find a way with a way with relating with some people (Haru, Zuko, etc.), but it also gives her access to cope and grieve and accept with everything that happened.
It's possible he could've just stabbed her or slit her throat leaving her to bleed out. Cause wasn't katara only gone for like less than a minute or so? It seems like burning someone to death would take a much longer time than that.
It's actually just the new viewers 😅 An overwhelming part of the og fans love her character. She is one of the few female characters in cartoon that is done perfectly as her character was created in a very natural and realistic about everything (getting stronger, personality, etc.) without making her some Mary Sue. Truly goated character.
Her development as a combatant was my favorite factor in Katara’s character. The experience she gained while journeying with Team Avatar allowed her to grow from a mere novice to a powerful master, arguably surpassing Aang’s skill at Waterbending
All the girls in this series are great examples of strong female characters in media. Edit : I changed from what is previously was as I realised it was abit dense and lacked explanation.
Sad fact;the first time Korra meet kattara , kattara was crying and korra didn’t know what to say so she said “you wanna go penguin sledding” which is the same thing what anng said
Katara life stages. Stage 1: Young and defenseless but with great potential. Stage 2: Water Bender in training and mother figure. Stage 3: Water Bending prodigy. Stage 4: One of the strongest members on Team Avatar. Stage 5: Wife, Mother of three, and a Water Bending expert. Stage 6: Water Bending master to the next Avatar and grandmother of three with a fourth one on the way. She did so much in just 6 stages. We should all try to accomplish more with our lives like her.
@@l.gsmith8411 well if you notice for anyone who can do bloodbending, all of them are in jail in ATLAS and LOK, in LOK amon and his dad were very skilled for it, and they weren't accepted as a society for it, aang had to remove it from one and amon was killed for bloodbending, and katara made it illegal though she can do it, only a few people know she can bloodbend, she refuse to do so
@@CompletelyVoid Yeah she made bloodbending illegal because when she heard about bloodbending for the first time, it sounded scary and she said she didn't want that kind of power. But she had to for 2 different scenes in ATLA: Scene 1: Katara had to use her bloodbending to stop Hama from hurting sokka and aang. Then when Hama was handcuffed, she said "Congratulations katara, your a bloodbender." And since katara never wanted to do bloodbending, she started to sob and then she kneeled down and started crying. Scene 2: Zuko and katara went off to find the man who killed katara's mom. They found the ship, so they got inside the place where the leader was sailing the ship, by katara's big water wave. When they got in and found the leader, Zuko said to the leader: " You don't know who she is? You will soon. Trust me." Then Zuko and the leader were firebending at each other until Katara blood bended the leader for a moment, then Zuko said: " You look her in the eye and and don't tell me you don't remember what you did." Then Katara and the guy looked at each other for a moment, and then Katara realized that the guy wasn't the man who murderd Katara's mom. Then she stopped bloodbending him, then Zuko and Katara left to find the man.
I have a video suggestion, The life of Aang. Your probably thinking that is the whole story, but maybe you could do a summary, or something related to what you did for Harry Potter. :)
@@plasticbag5648 I imagine bloodbending would be seen as too extreme even by her standards. Avatar Studios needs to do something with those two ladies facing off against each other for one last time, while in their prime, and without any handicaps to either (no mental breakdown, etc). holdother
_Daddy, there’s a strange man with Mummy in our house!_ If this weren’t a tragic backstory about how her mum was killed, this would sound *very* different...
Katara is the epitome of "For every great man, there's a great lady supporting him." Not only that, she was also the one who banded together the rag tag Aang Gang from falling apart.
I remember in the fortune teller episode, the fortune teller says Katara would be a great grandmother when she pass out, so Katara probably lived a lot longer, as I think that Jinora and Kai got married and had children some many years later
Katara: Greatest waterbender Toph: Greatest earthbender also first metalbender Zuko: Wise "Know it all" Aang: Youngest airbending master also first energybender Ty lee: First chi blocker Iroh: Wisethest person in the fire nation or the all four nations Korra: First metalbending Avatar Azula: Greatest firebender "more gooder than Zuko" Hama: First bloodbender Yakon: First bloodbender that doesn't need full moon Kyoshi: First earthbender lavabending Avatar Swampman: The only character to us vine"Swampbending"
Aang: a 12 yr old kid who got to travel around the world with his friends (who are also young) on a flying bison with a pet lemur. Me: a 14 yr old who has lived in the same place all my life 😐
I honestly can feel the genuine love of this character through this video. Theres tons of summarizations of characters and the plot from this series on youtube but I feel like you're not just reading a script but you actually enjoyed the show and events that happened in it.
Great video! You forgot to mention that in book one Katara met a fortune teller that told her she would pass away after having her their great grandchild. Thai mena's she must have lived almost 20 years past the ending of legend of Korra
They didn’t kiss. They got very close, but before they could do it, they saw the resolution to their problem! I was looking for a comment about this!!!
Yes, finally we have got this video yo be brought to life. Thank you Morgan so much for making this video, this has been a long time coming. Also, good job as always.
You forgot the part where when aang died katana mourned and cured for months and her daughter was the only on who comferted her for her other sons were busy but she knew even after the Unalaska crises aang is forever a t peace and one day she can finally be with him again
My favorite part of Avatar: the Last Airbender was at the end, Katara decided she had real feelings for aang and they kissed right in front of the sunset on the balcony of uncle iroh’s tea shop!! 😍😍😍 so romantic💕💕💕
I still prefer Aang I missed his series when he was avatar and I also feel said for saka he was a such a funny and entertaining to think he died I really missed the Avatar the last airbender the adventures they had
I like during the show they would fluctuate Katara's maturity due to her being a teenager while she is prominently a confident strong loving woman she also can be extremely pissed off and can talk about her dead mom too much but the most i love is that they carry this through the comics but less extreme while she gets jealous at the girls and mad at her dad she isnt bi-polar like she was in the series she's growing up while at the same time being a teenager i love it i think she is a great character she has flaws like any other person but she is powerful loving has good morals and a strong attitude
34:55 i love this scene in korra because it is a callback to when sokka and katara snuck away from the southern water tribe and there grandma caught them but then approved of the trip. Callback pog
Would love to see a ten year series span of ATLA team in their prime years between the ages of 25 and 35 all of them pursuing their passions at the peak of their abilities.
