Very contemplative

There are many good and pious priest who doesn't engage in sinning and real servants of God. The priest is not only bound by the law of God, he is also bound by the law of man. He should be punished just like everybody else who commit crimes against children, women and others. The priest is held in the high regard because he is supposed to be in knowledge of good from bad better than anyone. He preaches everyday not to do bad things to people and abide the laws of God. But, if he himself transgress and doesn't live what he is preaching, then he is a hypocrite and doesn't have the authority to guide people. Everyone is a child of God not only the priest. The moment the priest commit a grave sin, like exploiting innocent children, he is no longer connected to God unless he atone for his sin sincerely and punished by the law of man. Telling the criminal acts of a priest to authorities is not gossip, it is the right thing to do. When someone try to shelter the offending priest, he become an accessory to the crime. If you ruin an innocent child's life, his family is ruined, too. God will punish someone who did that.
