I remember seeing the same guy AFK staring at a wall for like 3 weeks straight. He was standing by my Grand Company desk and every day I would stop by there I saw him. Just standing in the corner, looking at the wall. Never moving

You forgot the part where they violently snap their head to stare directly at you.

I remember there was a time restriction when the game would log you out after a certain period of time for a patch or something, and the people who do AFKs did everything at their disposal, so they won't get logged out.

Don't acknowledge them, else you'll see horrors beyond comprehension.

To this day there is still a person dead in front of the atheryte in Ul’dah. He appeared like two or three months ago and he is still dead there. Don’t know how he got there or how he has died and remained dead all this time but people have started to play music and other things around the body. It’s become a landmark at this point

I feel like I've probably worn a hole into the floor of The Wench from all the idling I do there.

in Aether Jenova we have Mint Dew, the eternally dancing catgirl who still manages to get raid gear. Currently she dances at the aetheryte in the latest hub.

On my server we have a dancing guy in a moggle outfit with their sometimes copy dancing across from them. A Lalafell bench. Then the bara Roegadyn and Hrothgar bench on the other side.

This reminds me of my favorite warrior of light. Tank Program. Man just lays down AFK in front of the way to the market board in Limsa on Ultros. He's awesome

I know of a legendary Limsa AFKer on my server who's been standing under the aetheryte pavilion tree since at least I started playing. For context, I first noticed them several months before Endwalker released.

On Crystal Brynhildr, there is this Thancred in Old Sharlayan by the aetheryte who is just always dancing. They never move from their spot, they look just like Thancred, clothes too and they just..dance while AFK. I swear they were still there even after maintenance.

I started hanging out in Aether Faerie and in the Saucer there's Hobo Ohbobo, forever dancing. It's so mesmerizing to watch...

Once upon a time I was apart of Oliver nexus’ free company in balmung. He stands in the same spot every time he afk’s, apparently he’s been doing it since the beta. Travel to balmung and you can see him in limsa I guarantee it.

Is no one going to say anything about Mr. Blackrock the sexy dancing pope in coeurl? He's in ul'dah. I have never seen him not dance in his spot. Edit: Oh, there's the comments, they were the first few. Of course.

On Famfrit, there are not one but TWO massive groups of AFKers. The Jades, a group of identical Hyur women dancing in a circle in perfect syncronisation, and the Weaboo Police, a group of identical Roegadyn men who just stand there menacingly. There's also technically the Weaboo FBI, but I consider them to just be a subgroup of the Weaboo Police.

On Primal Excalibur we have an AFKing default WoL in the Gold Saucer named John Finalfantasyxiv. He just...stands there...menacingly... Also shoutouts to Hero Senpai of the FC "OwO" who is always idle in New Gridania's aetheryte Plaza.

Back when I was still in Adamantoise before me and my friends packed up and moved to Dynamis, every day when I would go to the Maelstrom headquarters to unload my extra junk gear there would be a dude step dancing on the stone rail between the drowned wench and the hq, weeks later I went back to get better queue times and the dude was still there, he may even still be step dancing to this day

As a Balmungian, we have a Moogle Roe on bear armor doing the sundrop everyday, Madlad even has a alt account to run a bot for it.

Every server seems to have someone who is always AFK in Limsa dancing eternally, playing dead in a rabbit suit, or just standing there with their HW DRK Relic weapon.

My afk spot of choice is locked on to the Limsa main aetheryte, already tabbed to the world list menu. Reason: people are so impatient that there's basically no other way to get to off-world S ranks than to just sit there waiting at one of the three places in the entire game where world transfers are possible, one click away from the actual transfer--and even then, your odds are 50/50 at best. (Yeah yeah, early pullers, don't blame everyone, blah blah blah, but you can only blame them so often when even established pull times only give you about 3 minutes at best to get through potentially huge queues, nobody shows even the slightest sympathy to folks who miss out due to trolls/impatience, and mob mentality absolutely kicks in once anyone pulls and the whole group goes ham.) I do my best to ignore the...activity going on around me in the meantime.

For the past 2 week, every time I go to Limsa, I see a pair of Miqote lesbians and a buff Moogle. And everytime, it makes me more and more irate

I only go to Limsa when I need to get company seal from all the old armor and weapons I get. Sometimes i do ask pee chat what class I should level next. So youtube comments what class should I level next. Black mage or Bard?
