There's eight months till this releases. That's why they kept it so brief with the images. It was just a taste for D23. I guarantee that they are not finished putting in and polishing the CGI. But, I am confident Disney will do right by this film especially. The Little Mermaid saved Disney Studios and launched the Renaissance. They know they have to get this one right.

Yeah! Ariel doesn't look like she's underwater at all...The Little Mermaid must be good since this is the big work for Disney.

And also the color of her hair...? I got to say it looks natural but maybe they can make it a little bit more red.

I think the intention with the fin was to sort of depict a colorful flowing dress or skirt with frills in it.
