Under the leadership of AZ Phizo, Th Muivah was holding the second most important position of Naga National Council (NNC) in the rank of General Secretary. Thus, Muivah can be said to be next to AZ Phizo within the organisation. Going by that logic, after AZ Phizo demise, Muivah is undoubtedly the tallest Naga leader. Unlike many Naga factional groups, NSCN under the leadership of Muivah and Swu have a wide support based outside the so called Nagaland State which is limited to only 16 Naga tribes and only 16.5 thousand Sq. Km. Larger Naga representation and geography lies out the Indian State created Nagaland State. However, this doesn't mean that there is no support based in Nagaland State. NSCN under the leadership of Muivah and Swu has a wide support based in the form biggest Naga traditional apex civil society, the Naga Hoho. Furthermore, all the biggest Naga Civil Society in the State such as Naga Mothers' Association, Naga Students' Federation, Eastern Nagaland People's Organisation and the students' wing have all pledge support under the current collective leadership of NSCN. Besides this, all 60 member of the State Assembly have already supported the leadership. As mentioned before, NSCN under the present leadership of Muivah and Swu is the only Naga National organisation that have People's Support based in Arunachal, Assam and Manipur as well. Now the Indian State are more determined to solve the conflict between Naga people and Indian State under the leadership of PM Modi and with strong support based of NSCN, this will be the most opportune time to resolve conflict.
