@@overcomingsins6334 ,whatt?😂 The word Palestine derives from Philistia, the name given by Greek writers to the land of the Philistines, who in the 12th century BCE occupied a small pocket of land on the southern coast, between modern Tel Aviv-Yafo and Gaza. The name was revived by the Romans in the 2nd century CE in “Syria Palaestina,” designating the southern portion of the province of Syria, and made its way thence into Arabic, where it has been used to describe the region at least since the early Islamic era.
My family and I are Aramaic. We pray in Aramaic and we are so proud to speak the language that Jesus spoke. I hope my language and my folk will continue to teach Aramaic to the descendants.
@@sarahbanana2986 Thanks a bunch. But, allow me a last question, please : Why is that AI and some people say it's "Alaha" ? Did they get the pronunciation wrong ?
@@rouhoullahdiomande3970So there exist 2 dialects in Aramaic. West and East Aramaic. My family and I we speak West Aramaic (Family born in turkey where West Aramaic is usually spoken). So that’s why we say „Aloho“. East Aramaic is for example spoken in Iraq and a little bit in Iran, so they say „Alaha“
I am Greek born to Greek parents. My beloved Mother knew the Lord's prayer and recited it in Aramaic. I was fascinated hearing her as a child. I am learning it now. It's soooo beautiful.
Beautiful... I thaught my daughters to pray The Lord's Prayer in Aramaic when they are little. Just mentioning the prayer in Jesus' language, and hearing it from my daughters, it gives me chills, happiness and peace at the same time.❤
As it should. Remarkable how quickly little ones can adapt to new things. I've progressed a few years (67) and forgot about learning like that. Now I have a new goal in life learning this. Blessings to you. ❤
I am humbled I speak this language. My native Aramaic language is the most beautiful language. There are many churches around the world if anyone is interested to attend the mass they are all in Aramaic. God bless this man and thank you for sharing this video 🙏
I have started to learn the Lords prayer since the beginning of this year, i have now gotten half way through it. I could have finished it ages ago but felt reinvigorated after hearing Jim Cavelziel. You can do it!
I'm Syriac and only just in my 30's did I remember and recite by heart haha I was a bad kid in Sunday school perhaps. It helps so much to remember the meaning of the words (plus knowing it in another language like English)
I’m still trying to learn how to moonwalk how will I ever learn Aramaic!! I’m sixty years old for goodness sake! But it is so soothing for sure. Godbless all here. Amen and Amen to that. 🙏
I’m learning this prayer, which is slightly different from the bible. It’s hard to keep my Scottish sing song voice to adopt the dialect but I’m sure the Lord will know what I’m saying.
I have never heard this beautiful, and completely fundamental prayer spoken in it's original language before. It is truly, very moving. Thank you for sharing. Praise Almighty GOD!!!
Christians in the West were first exposed to Jesus language in the movie the "Passion of the Christ". The entire movie is in Aramaic with subtitles in English.
We use this language with her eastern accent in all our prayers and our hymn prayers because it's our mother language. Accept my greetings from Assyria land (Iraq ). Assyrian Christian and proud forever.
@@abishekwillie Arabic originated northwest of the Arab peninsula and was the language of the nomadic tribes there. It is part of Semitic family of languages which include Hebrew and Aramaic. Aramaic comes from the area north Israel which is now southern Syria and Lebanon. Aramaic died out for a number of "natural" reasons (war, low birth rates of the populations that spoke it, and the spread of Islam of which the Qaran is solely in Arabic). There are very few small tribes in the region that still natively speak their own dialects of Aramaic.

The Lord wanted us to be one but humanity separates each other… he said all are welcome at his father’s house… Share the gospel and teach for all to hear in the mission
How do you spell this prayer correctly. I want to write it down but there's so many different ways that people write and spell it I'm trying to seek the right way to spell it
Let these words, unintelligible to us as they are spoken, seep into your bones, and bring you and your family, and your family's families, the love and protection of Our Saviour and Lord, Jesus Christ.
" unknown to us as they are spoken..." Is better because, you feel them...even you do just that, feeling is the key, your message is deep and translate the frequency that prayer creates..."
If you are in any of the Western capitals, like London, Paris, Sydney and US cities, such as Chicago and California - seek out the Assyrian societies and people there. They always have a church to worship at and they speak a neo-Aramaic language but their church services tend to be mostly in traditional Aramaic. Come and say hello to us!
I’m a Syriac from Sydney Australia, same goes for the Syriac Orthodox Church and the Chaldean Orthodox Church. Some Maronites would be able to speak it too but you’d have to speak to the priests in specific about it
@@drmg735 can you tell me what is name of God in syriac aramaic that jesus spoke?? When jesus call upon God what name did he use in his language syriac aramaic????🤔🤔🤔🤔
@@Asiyah2000 in syriac aramaic it’s aloho, but the Syriac is a western dialect which is spoken more in the modern day in Mesopotamia and is the dialect I and my family speak. However to answer your question Jesus said elaha in the Galilean dialect of Aramaic. I don’t really understand what points islam is trying to make when they say god in aramaic is similar to god in arabic. Of course the languages are similar. Arabic comes from Aramaic and has a lot of similarities with it and to prove my point using the Quran bible and Torah aram came first before ishmael and so therefore our language came first.
I want to learned the lord's prayer in Aramaic it's the most power prayer to repel demonic possesion and evil I once say this prayer when I experience near demonic possesion when I can't move when I'm lying in bed Something whispering to me in broken word saying you are mine then I say the Lord's prayer in english then It disappeared then I 'm able to move my body
Thanks for sharing! Aramaic is my mother language, and I totally understand this man. I still speak Aramaic, and so do my people. By the way, Hebrew is supposed to be my mother tongue, but because my people (Israelites) when they were captivated by the ancient Assyrian, adopted Aramaic instead Hebrew. This accent we call it syrica (Aramaic). Aramaic has more than one dialect.

Why do muslims say that Jesus Christ was praying to allah in the Lords prayer? I know that they are taught a lot of lies and it is difficult to get them to understand the truth.
Of course, it wasn't the last days when Lord found them sleeping and called them to pray. Instead, teaching them to pray was much earlier. God bless everyone of His child in being close to Him. Thank you for opportunity to hear this precious prayer in it's original language It was in

@@thecloudtherapist neo-Syriac not Assyrian. The Syriac alphabet is identical to the Jewish Aramaic. Look at psalm 119, the alphabet is there in the form of alaph beth as an acronym. The Akkadian language hardly influenced the language outside of the written form of the words. The Syriac are not assyrians, ashoorie people are descended from ashur whereas the Syriac people are descended from aram, otherwise known as aramean.
He was talking about himself not peter...the name peter in Hebrew translates to little rock..so basic it cannot be peter. Also Ephesians 2:20jesus is identified as the cornerstone...he is the stone which was rejected by the builder which had now become the cornerstone psalm 118:15-27. He is also the head of the church
god protect Christians around the world and deliver us from all evil i am Assyrian arabic and i only pray in arabic but i need to learn the prayers in Aramaic
I’m learning this now. Trying. I have the pronunciation improved but still I want it to be as good as this man one day. Then I’ll learn more Aramaic. @@JesusTorres-qz1jhYou have a spirit that is vesselled into a human body on earth, most religions believe when you die your spirit unlatches your body and is teleported back to the waiting room, the afterlife. God as in The Holy Spirit has vesselled himself into two human forms, maybe even more today. My interpretation of Jesus's death is God had to take on a human form and let his human body die infront of many to show the people that something happens when you die, your spirit leaves your body and goes somewhere he did this by re-entering Jesus's body that was dead for 3 day. This went down in history as a supernatural event, dissolved the Roman empire and today there are millions of buildings dedicated to this event world wide.
We too the chaldeans aramians of iraq, speak and pray the same prayer and language, this man just said what we pray and say every day. We the chaldeans today in iraq and the world about two millions catholics. August, 27, 2023. Tony.

Bro you say it like Aramaic is an extinct language but I'm Assyrian and Aramaic is our mother tongue, we do have lots of line words depending on if we're from Iran(like my family), Iraq, Syria and Turkey. My Nana spoke the original Aramaic fluently tho. Smartest person I ever knew want my grandma!! I miss you Nana Badal
Actually the Lord's Prayer is a different episode (so to speak) from the Garden Of Gethsemane. But Our Lord's exhortation still applies..."Could you not continue in prayer?" As Tiny Tim would say...God bless us every one.
I was going to post the same comment. Nice video but the Lord's prayer was not taught in the garden of Gethsemane. The disciples didn't even speak to our Lord Jesus much, they were battling heavy sleep, he was all alone in prayer.
I speak native Hebrew, and I've been learning Aramaic for a while, and I picked it up quite very quickly, especially since the Old Testament has some scriptures that mix Hebrew and Aramaic together, so some words I already knew. Really religious Jews speak Aramaic fluently, and for Jews Aramaic and Hebrew are the same, it just that Hebrew got more modernized, and Aramaic is the origin of Hebrew language, or as the elders call it "the Old Hebrew".
Google English to Aramaic translation type "GOD" in english look at the Aramaic translation and guess which religion uses the same word for GOD as jesus did.
