@@chocolatecoveredgummybears most lottery tickets are not validated until processed by the clerk. She could have stolen numerous tickets and won a million dollars but it would show that the ticket wasn't purchased.

Stealing a scratch off ticket is pointless because you cant cash it if you win unless you want to get arrested. When its scanned it shows that it wasn't paid for.

They have to be activated to be counted as valid. I have heard stories of people stealing whole cases of tickets and then trying to claim winners but once they are reported stolen they are void and the people are arrested for stolen items and if they steal over a certain amount it’s a felony

a lot of gas stations i've seen do actually have cameras at the pumps, not sure if it's a standard for certain companies or only necessary for places with high rates of thievery.
Do the average folks "look up at the camera"? Just curious.... I've been in gas stations 100s of times and I could care less if there are cameras or not
