Really nice. Appreciate how you break down your animation process, including the dead ends and re-thinks. The tip on tying together two different objects at different Y depths is very clever and I want to think more about it because I feel like it might have some other utility as well.

Great job as always! I’m always so excited to see when you release a new video. Here’s a question for you, is there no way to onion skin objects when animating in object mode? Or ghost frames? I don’t do much frame by frame which is where I believe the onion skin feature to be… keep up the awesome content!!

Hi there, thank you for your encouragement. As far as I know, there is no way to enable onion skins for animating in object mode. I know there are addons for onion skins for 3D meshes, though I doubt that would work for grease pencil and others that give onion skins for bones, which could be helpful if you rig your object. Really interesting question, sorry I couldn't have been more helpful. Let me know if you find anything. :) Thanks again

From like 2:15 onwards you draw on the grease pencil object without adding new parts and only changing the colour of the shape. How did you achieve this?

Hi there Cold Raven, I think I know what you're talking about. Essentially, each object has a red solid material underneath everything else, on it's own layer. Then any layers on top are masked to that, so that they don't go out side the edges. That way, I can paint with strokes, changing the colour, without worrying about changing the overall shape. Hi there. Essentially, I wanted to shine light through holes in a plane. To do that I used a voronoi texture in the material, to make transparent circles in the plane. Then I needed to change some settings in the material, to allow light to shine through transparent areas. I hope that this hasn't been too confusing, I tried to be as clear as possible, but I don't know if I succeeded. Thanks for asking :)
