I went over your collection of videos probably 3 - 4 times . in between the experiment on the golf course or just hitting the ball to the net. My overall swing mechanic is a lot more stable and so much easier to maintain. I think you really deserve the name "elite golf school". The philosophy and the way you approach golf swing is just god's gift to average golfer like myself. just want to thanks again for an amazing work.

You're right - the videos are improving. Though you've mentioned these things to an extent before, your description of spine extension whilst dropping combined with going 'sideways thump' got through to me this time and unlocked a whole bunch of movement for me. Thanks so much guys! As a Scotsman I struggle in the UK because your/Milo's/Hogan/Hovland style baseball-type sling/swing works for me best but is very different to what is commonly taught across the pond here. Feedback from me is all positive. I also wanna say don't feel you can't revisit topics slightly differently worded, because as in this video, your attempts to refine your descriptions of certain aspects can really help me understand what I couldn't before i.e., there is value in those attempts alone. One thing I really struggle with (5hcp) is achieving your momentum-driven takeaway and long transition without the club wrapping around my neck like John Daly rather than the look you have of a more vertical shaft pointing to the sky instead of at target, thereby maintaining space for the arms to transition correctly (trail supination + lead arm internal rotation). I believe this might be cause I have flexy wrist and arms but may be wrong. Hope that makes sense and might be considered for a future video. If not -that's ok too. Loving the content and your considered descriptions!!🔥✊

This is the perfect lesson for even a beginner. You guys said it perfectly, people don’t have the right intention in their mind to allow for their natural athletic movement to come out. I’m only a 5 handicap, but whenever I try to give a quick lesson to a new golfer who asks for tips, I always tell them that after a proper, comfortable setup, most of the work is done as long as you have the right intention in your head (e.g., swinging an axe at a tree) After that, it’s minor tweaks. Can’t wait to see you guys in August in Castle Rock. I’ve been watching since you guys started and cannot express how much you have helped me. Probably going to give TJ a big fat hug when I see him 😂

Guys, another great video! For me, it is the clearest concept in golf. It suits my way of thinking and trying to get a personal feel out of it. You both can perfectly deliver this concept. A day before this video, I found myself a feeling - I only concentrated on the two lateral shift of the ribcage. Just trying to collect as much "positiv tension" as possible with the contrary momentum of the club v.s. the ribcage. I guess this already eliminated the "hitting down" and created the "hitting across/lateral" the ribcage. I had amazing shots that day - now a day later this video suits perfectly to my experience. At least I believe it does :-) Thank you very much !!

Terrific video. As I’ve gotten older (72) I’m finding it tougher to get through the ball. I hit a lot of fat shots. This thumper drill is really helpful. I have a divot board I practice with if I can’t get to the range or in the winter. This drill is getting me to hit ball first and then the ground. In other-words, taking a divot after the ball. I can’t exactly explain why. I’m sure you can but I’m hitting the ball much cleaner and farther. Many thanks for your help. Your system definitely works!

I have a wood burning stove and was actually splitting logs recently with an axe and about 3 or 4 swings in I couldn’t believe how similar a lot of the movements that you guys describe throughout your videos are to the golf swing. The intent of directing the max force (hit) at the log sets off this almost unconscious chain reaction that leaves me with the sole thought of just coordinating the whole thing. I would frequently get a log that wouldn’t split with a single blow so I would focus on just hitting the same spot harder. I’m not thinking of weight shift or spine extension or shallowing or side bending - just splitting the dam log. Mapping movement to intent is a wonderful way of thinking about it. Super video and Tx for sharing.

This is great! I’ve noticed this weekend doing this that I’m pulling the start line….sometimes pretty significantly. Could that likely be that I’m pulling the arms across too much? Also can you comment on the drop? I assume the more you drop the more level you can fire the arms.

I’m definitely guilty of lifting my arms to where I think they should be in the backswing and then firing my hips because that’s what you see the “pros” do. This explanation of how the arms move up and down and the ribs rotate around a stable base, “produces” a look that resembles a diagonal movement of the club to the ball. In the backswing the arms lift. I know you said not to lower them. But if they go up they have to go down at some point to hit the ball and you cannot keep them up too long otherwise it could result in an out to in path. Can you please elaborate on when and how the arms should lower?
@elitegolfschools
@elitegolfschools 3 месяца назад
Probably want to take a look at our ‘don’t lift the arms’ video to get a better concept of what our intention is here. Also, you can absolutely lower the arms and all great players do. We’re speaking more to the intention of the player. If you choose to do this as an active thought, then we’d like to see that happen around the P4.5/P5 phase. Definitely don’t want the arms lowering actively immediately from the top. Equates to early extension if this happens usually

Incredible video. As an instructor that teaches the same system I can easily refer this video to my beginner students. There are apparently 13 different golf patterns ie Stacking Tilt, Elephant Trunk, Constant Radius et al. One of the problems with RU-vid videos is that novice golfers don't know which pattern matches the topic of the video, and therefore I tell my students not to look at them unless I make a recommendation. If you were interested, it would be instructional to see Elite Golf Schools do a series of videos showing what makes your pattern different from other patterns, and which pattern suits which player.
@elitegolfschools
@elitegolfschools 3 месяца назад
Oh man! Very cool idea! Very interested in doing that!
@davidbrown2806
@davidbrown2806 2 месяца назад
@@elitegolfschools Actually, I think it is more than that. You have the Main System, that is the basics. ie managing the forces. Then you add a Swing Pattern that focuses on 1) getting down to the ball, 2) how you release, and 3) how you shallow. ie Elephant Trunk, Constant radius metal.Even the Driver and Wedge swing can be thought of as a pattern that builds off the Main System. Stalk and Tilt would be a different Main System. This video has changes my approach to teaching.

@@Richardvdlinde I wish I did ...... it is hard to find., and I have looked. I am going by comments made by Scott Cowx CPGA. Even the President of our CGTF Association has zero on it. However, based on my definition of a Swing Pattern the Driver swing, and the Wedge swing are patterns built on the Main System, since the three elements are different. Is Stalk and Tilt a different Main System or a Swing Pattern ? I think its an important area of study.

Great question. I had the same one. I also remember fat shots came from not rotating the chest enough but in this video I heard more lateral hit to avoid fat contact?
@elitegolfschools
@elitegolfschools 3 месяца назад
Great question and we’ve heard a lot of this. The answer is… BOTH! However, for each player they will feel this in different ways. Need to identify what player you are first. Do you need more activity in the chest as the intention or do you need to send energy in certain special regions with your arms. However. The best in the world unload everything. Their body systems as well as their arms, hands, and club
@elitegolfschools
