“The Purpose? What a silly question my beautiful Fräulein. Purpose…how quaint. To put it in the simplest possible terms, Fräulein...Our purpose, is a total absence of purpose. You should be aware Fräulein…that there are some people in this world, certain irredeemable louts, for whom the means does not require an end. I speak of course, of myself.”
"I admit after all the defeats I have known...victory's taste is strange to me. This victory...it has hints of blood...and of iron...I LOVE IT!"-The Major
The Major is the staple of a good mad man, his madness is driven by a goal that can be understood by a sane person. However, 15:35 is just a complete misunderstanding of the character and shows a lack of understanding of the word hypocrisy. You can't call a person a hypocrite by your standards, as a person is a hypocrite if they betray their own standards.
vampire chips made by humans, cyborg with implants made by human tech. I still regard the major as human regardless what other people say. and alucard is a servant, of a human ad has been bested by one.
-You know what’s the funniest thing here is doc? -No, sir Major. What is it? -It took them the longest time to realize that Alucard spelled backwards is Dracula! -It took us the same time, sir Major. -To be honest, we were preparing for World War 3
So, one of the things that sets Millenium Vampires apart from Real Vampires is that Millenium Vampires cannot create new vampires. Does that mean the Cheddar Priest was the only Real Vampire opposed to Hellsing, or were the couple that Alucard and Seras face also Real Vampires? Alucard implies that they aren't, because they aren't powerful enough. Interestingly enough, Alucard says that giving up on life is what gets people killed, and that Seras's refusal to give up on life is what gave her the right to become a vampire. Integra says something similar about the Millenium Vampires, with the opposite message - they couldn't bear the weight of their own humanity, so chose to become vampires instead (sort of in-line with the Major's thinking that vampires can only steal humanity, and that he is above them because he has his own humanity). And of course Anderson correctly points out that most vampires are Death Seekers in his famous "demons don't cry" speech. But of course, Integra points out that the Major, for all his talk of being driven by his humanity, has none. Contrast that to Seras, a vampire who even after reaching her full power, doesn't seem to give up on her humanity, refusing to drink the blood of Zorin in an effort to make sure that her soul doesn't become diseased.
Ive cooked on this for years, He denounced God at the time of his execution and drank blood to become the first vampire. He wasn't turned by an another vampire, but directly cursed by God. He is the Vampire and Seres is the only he ever sired. the nazi vampires were artificial, created with an implanted chip. This chip was created from their research on Mina Harpers corpse, she being the only one who drank Dracula's blood.
That's also something I've recently thought about. For a show about hunting vampires, we see very little real vampires. Just a single one in the first episode.
I find it every interesting that The Major had the potential of becoming a true pure vampire and not an artificial vampire. Yet he rejects the opportunity to stay pure
In Short: the Major wanted to prove that just one man a human being can be a worse monster than anything from the grave……kinda falls on its head when he’s technically no longer human himself the damn Cyborg bastard 😂
Afaik its inspired by Dr. Flake from Rammstein, who had similar haircuts, often used weird glasses and often has worn bare midriff bdsm outfits on stage.
Nah. The Major temporarily made Alucard stronger. Furthermore, why didn't he just make Walter have permanent vampirism? All they had to do to kill Alucard was stab him in the heart once level 0 is let loose. Hell, Walter DID try that. But he was hypnotised by Alucard. @@lunareinhold3976
well to be honest they succeeded in erasing him in a way. Since he is both Alive & Dead at the same time. If he even consumes another person, he will disappear again due to consuming schrodinger. But as long as he doesn't he can indeed continue to exist. Its a victory to the Major.
Marvelous Anime: The worst monsters aren't ghouls, vampires, or werewolves, it's humanity. Trust me, it's ALWAYS humanity. I once told myself this; "A person's greatest enemy is one's self. A group's greatest foe is each other. The greatest criminal of humanity is humanity itself." Simply put, take any small or big number and divide it by ITSLEF. You get 1. And what better example of 1 than "one's self"? So yeah... Glad to run into this video since I am a big fan of Hellsing anyway.
He was terminally wounded by Soviet soldiers in Berlin. He refused to become a true vampire when the blood was surrounding him and Doc was able to evacuate him.
