Michelle Pfeifer's Catwoman is THE BEST Catwoman, I think, ever. It's right up there with Adrieanne Barbeau's Catwoman on Batman: The Animated Series! :D (Michelle also has the best Catwoman costume too, I think. :D)
michelle did a great job as catwoman, devito did a great job of penguin even though this version of penguin was far different than the comic book version of the character.

Yeah me too. I loved the movie since I saw it becoming in one of my top favorites movies........ and Batman Returns made my interest in film music grow like it never did before......kudos to Burton and Elfman
They literally never thought of casting her. Find me an article that can PROVE they were considering her for the role. You can't, because they weren't.
i know. i feel the same way. i was just one year old when the first one came out and just four when returns came out but i was so into the movies. i remember watching the interviews with my parents because even at that age i wanted to know all about the new batman movie.
Not to start anything, but in the early comics he killed people all the time. Tim Burton did read the comic books. But the Frank Miller books were really big and those books really set the tone for Batman today. This was a great Batman movie. Not the best, but still great.
Hmm, I don't know about Cher. I really hope Rhora Mitra does play Catwoman. That would be freaking awesome! I know Chris Nolan would cast someone who CAN pull it off like Heath did as the Joker. Casting Angelina Jolie would be a bad move. Not saying she's a bad actress. But that would be too much.
Michelle Pfeiffer is HOT! :P She was a great catwomen, unlike the Catwomen movie which was garbage. No offense to Halle Berry which is also f**kin' HOT!

Well this is a super late response, but I think that after her fall she sustained some brain damage. That's why she had her whole breakdown and developed dual personalities. Michelle Pfeiffer pulled it off amazingly.
I think their eyes are glazed over because they shot the interview with the crew while they were making it and none of them have had eight hours of sleep in awhile, I'm guessing.
@maverick1520 he should have been the director in all the Batman sequels that followed that one... Batman Forever, Batman & Robin, Batman Bagins, The Dark Knight... all of them.... i mean, think of Ledger`s Joker directed by Burton... that would have been scary....

I love this movie. I still think Batman 1989 is the best. Although I like Christain Bale as Batman, I think Micheal Keaton was better. Danny Devito as Penguin and Michlle Pfeiffer as Catwoman were great! I hope Chris Nolan does Bring Catwoman. But I hope TO GOD Angelina Jolie doesn't play the part. She's good, but that would FUCK EVERYTHING UP!!!!!
Yeah C Nolan is very good director but not visionary enough like Burton. This was the best batman movie , watch the costumes photography scenograpy etcc
danyboy1, and slashmanexe, how could u say Batman returns was the best Batman movie. This movie didn't even made since. The only reason the costumes were better than Nolan's batman, is because Nolan's Batman is a reality take of the great superhero. besides this movie was wicked gothic, witch is why warner bros. wanted a new directer for Batman forever. Tim Burton didn't even read the comic books of Batman, other than Frank Miller's The Dark Knight returns. Tim Burton even made Batman kill.
