If anyone thinks that acting isn't hard, try and do what Mary Winstead did in that last part. It would be so hard to produce such natural reactions essentially on command.
it's sad to think the movie's release didn't.. do well but everyone still loved the film itself i loved it i rewatched the film like dozen of times now.
I find it amazing how wonderfully Scott Pilgrim emulated the characters. They put SO MUCH effort into making actors closer to the characters, and working with the book's style and mood. Creators today still struggle greatly with re-creating fan favorite characters from paper and putting them on the big screen, with a lot of backlash going around. It's so refreshing yet maddening to look back at this 2010 flick and see how passionate it is.
Whether as herself or as Ramona Victoria "Rammy" Flowers, Mary Elizabeth Winstead will forever remain my top personal-favorite live-action actress and little sweetheart....
im happy everyone is back for the animation. i feel like a lot of people saw the movie and that was their entry point to the comics. and the movie was amazing but like comeau said "the comics are much better then the movie" , so to a lot of scott pilgrim fans these actors voices and faces are intrinsically tied to the characters and what you think of when you think of those characters. im so hyped that all the o malley is in talks with netflixs wasnt fake or didnt follow through. as i would love another form of media to consume the story in. i love both the comics and the movie so much. im looking forward to hearing what voices were cast for the characters who didnt make it into the movie.
I remember reading the entire manga series at Borders (when they were still in business) from morning to night. Then I find out a live action movie was coming out and being annoyed since I thought it was gonna suck and taint the series. Turns out the movie was awesome and has become one of my top 10 movies of all time.
