Each time you drop one of these videos is an event for me, and one to be savoured. I really enjoyed the journey through Some Girls and has made me appreciate again just how great that album is. The whole Toronto incident was very interesting. You brought so much of it to light Steve. I dig some of the outtakes. I always said that the Stones bootleg outtakes CD's and vinyl were always worth listening to. I could never figure out why some of the songs never made it on whatever album. I got a lot out of this one too Steve. Superior job. No one presents the Stones better~ Rob/Boston

The news of the era, the charts, the Disco demolition. (Great shot of Harry Carey) the RCA studio shot where they did aftermath-one of my favorite Stones albums. that all sucked me in right away. Now the guitars? I'll be more than dabbling on this one. I got to take a full hit and watch the whole thing. Thanks again Steve.

Thx Steve ,as usual with your docs u turned me on to a few outakes i have never heard. i was in the 12th row centerstage for the concert for the blind, good times seeing the stones in a small arena, close to home, waited 24 hours to get tickets, was well worth the wait

I LOVE these docs! Seriously, excellent work. Never heard about the arresting Canadian officer dying before the trial! Also, I got to play one of those early Mesa Boogie amps you spoke about in the Some Girls doc and damn...it was sweet.

I was at the Salt Lake City show and my ticket was right up front in the first row. I remember they opened with Sweet Little Rock and Roller and Keith waa the first thing you saw as he played the familiar Chuck Berry guitar intro and he looked so 'stoned' for lack of a better word but he played with gusto and I have to say that was the most decadent band I've ever seen! There were lots of unsold seats in the arena but it was one of the best concerts I have attended in many ways. I was in high school so it was one of the first shows for me and it certainly had an impact on me. I remember catching everyone in the bands eyes except Keith and no matter how loud I yelled or whatever gestures I made he was in his own world.

I don't know this album very well so looking forward to this since all the other documentaries you've done are great with insane detail and obscurity even for those like me who think they know all the details out of books and documentaries. Yo Steve, I’m jumping in late here again. Renovations being done on the house electricians working painters working flatscreen televisions stereos everything electronic all covered up with plastic power being turned on and off so I could hardly get to view this fantastic dock about emotional rescue without a lot of interruptions. Now, I did get to watch it in its entirety last night and boy did I enjoy the hell out of it! This is another one that was recorded and made around strange times I guess one would say. you know, punk, disco, Some rockabilly stuff I guess. You hit the nail on the head, Steve. Oh every type of music genre is trying to push its weight around at that time. The stones always had the ability and great potential to just go ahead on and be the flavor of the day or music of the time and however they wanted to do it, however they wanted to work it, and however they wanted to make it rock. you get the name of the greatest rock ‘n’ roll band in the world by being capable of molding things, music, current events, sports, war, tragedies, Success, They could cover any topic, any event movies television musically with conviction, with swagger, with confidence, Tongue and cheek type stuff if they want to. They just go and do it, they always love to be working! Especially Keith! Right? Steve, you covered this not only with great detail , But also using fantastic demonstration skills that you have with this type of work that you always do. I had really forgotten quite a bit about this album or maybe I should say the making of the album. I mean, there were so many sessions and so many songs and jams that were just left in the can. There were also tons of stuff that they revisited, brought out of the can and remixed and reworked and included in different things at later times and dates. You were right Steve, this was a project that covered what I think was quite a time Frame! there were so many elements involved with this record. The bluesy course it took, which was fantastic. The reggae sections, and of course they’re always really cool and real interesting equipment usage in the studio and on the stage for performances. There was so much to this, Steve, that you brought it out into the open and perhaps refreshed many of us older fans minds and memories about this great record that was recorded. you always include tons of relevant things and other artists and musicians. People that have been in the stones camp in the past and around at that time and even somewhat of the present. you touched on so many things. Keith continuing his struggles with it is court trials in Canada. I mean some of the names involved in this and the artist that had things to do with this record album, So many of them that they drew energy or whatever it was you know, like from memory of these back in the day great bluesmen. Little Walter, Howlin’ Wolf, Jimmy Reed, Sam Cooke, I mean even Jimmy Cliff, Chuck Berry, George Jones, mick ralphs. Of course the latter weren’t exactly hard bluesman but great entertainers as well. You know, Steve, sometimes it takes a fellow guitar player to bring back or jog the memory of another player. It was almost like you were saying, hey DOM , do you remember those licks and chops Keith was laying down when he performed with Rockpile. I mean, that blew me away! First of all, what a great jam band Dave Edmunds and Nick Lowe had and Keith comes in sits in with them! I almost forgot about this. He chunks and crunched and just scorched through those blues riffs. Really enjoyed that one, Steve! I just laid back and let my brain soak it all in! of course all the other mick stuff that you pointed out was fantastic too! just everything in this part one doc was very, very in-depth, informational, informative, Interesting, and entertaining. OK then, I think I’ve ranted on and on and yapped long enough, Steve. you do what you do and what you do is great. I just thoroughly enjoyed this one just like all the rest of them you’ve done😊! Another superb job Steve. I can’t wait for part 2. I am a life long Staten Islander and I have an interesting note about Keith,Patti and Staten Island. In the 80s Keith and Patti had a condo on the east coast of Staten Island not far from Patti’s parents house in Tottenville. Keith had a yellow cab he used to drive around Staten Island (undetected) . He would just put on a hat and drive the cab around the Island. He used to frequent a small waterside bar on a dead end street that was mostly filled with locals. They all knew who he was and didn’t bother him. It was sort of like when Springsteen shows up at the Stone Pony. Everyone in the know , would see a yellow cab parked outside and knew Keith was inside. 💀🔗🥃

We often wonder about songs that did NOT make it onto the album and even THOSE are covered here. Terrific! I think of Some Girls, Emotional Rescue and Tattoo You as a kind of a triad of records and I like all three. There were some real fun ones on there like Where the Boys Go. Let Me Go. and Summer Romance, but there was some good variety on it too with the title track and All About You,

The Chris Welch interview with Keith & recording with Black Uhuru. In addition to laying down tracks for what would become Emotional Rescue. As always well done, informative & enjoyable to watch. I still say you ought to somehow make some money with these documentary videos Steve. You put a lot of work into them bud. Man O Man the albums and tunes you showed for that era that were popular reminded me of just how shitty a lot of rock had become and the why as to me researching the early beginnings of rock and roll back then with a deep dive... Yeah Keith and his thousands of Guitars, an amazing collection of them. Tely's are my favs from the first time I heard and saw one up close played in 64 by Domenic Troiano. I got a couple of Chuck Willis 45s, lol. Yeah Jimmy Reed, dig him, got some his music too. I love all the info you put into these docs Steve. I'm a glutton for that kinda stuff. Another fabulous Stones video. The greatest rock and roll band that ever existed no question about it.

Just wish all your videos could be put onto DVDs as my computer chair is getting a little uncomfortable for my ageing back. Wasn't a fan of this album at first but as time has gone by it is risen quite substantially in my estimation. Anyway wonderful stuff yet again Steve and hope life is treating you and family well.
