Hey the grunts in halo are actually dangerous when given good weapons and enough courage or when led by an elite. Heck the covenant actually struggled against them during the grunt rebellion within the lore.
@@gabrieltejada1697 That's quite true, so I wouldn't underestimate Grunts...well, mostly, they're still weak in general. Also, I definitely wouldn't compare Stormtroopers from Rogue One to Dark Souls NPC enemies, they weren't THAT deadly. They were just decent, to a degree. Obviously helped though that they had armored support, though not the most optimal kind, and outnumbered the Rebels, but a lot of them still died, ignoring the Death Star killing off most of the rest of course.
@@gabrieltejada1697 something people also tend to not realize, Grunts are about 5 foot 6 on average, and could easily kill the average person (hell, there was a grunt in the books that would casually outbox the elites on his ship). The orange pauldron can represent stormtrooper marines, commanders/officers, feild stormtroopers, etc. Red tends to be the stormtrooper captain though the rocket launtcher trooper, stormsurgeon (medic) and repeater equipped feild stormtrooper are also represented by red... they need to introduce different shades of these colours
I honestly preferred if Stormtroopers were presented in a more dignifying manner than just being used as dumb meat sacks falling left and right for the sake of any main character's Plot Armor. There are comics (both in Legends and Disney Canon) and fan films showing Stormtroopers as the true badasses they are meant to be in the Star Wars universe.
@DEEPFOXJUDE no, these come from Moff Gideon's regiment. I believe they are still trained regularly and still have access to top notch equipment and training facilities. There are not those poor, weary guys at Nevarro with rusty and unkempt Stormtrooper armor.
At the first episodes of the series, they were only a few, rusted old stormtroopers, which made it seem unique. And the Mandalorian killed him them in kind of grizzly ways. But then it turned into the same thing of having armies of them being killed by gun fire like normal.
Pretty much. Season 1 did a pretty good job of having stormtroopers few in number, so it didn't feel ridiculous for Mando to beat them (except maybe in the finale, but at least you had the IG-11 surprise attack). But Season 2 just ignores that and has everyone effortlessly win, which doesn't feel that badass when you have massive numbers of them fall like bowling pins to every person. So scenes where Boba kicks ass aren't that awesome because even regular characters don't have any trouble.
Thank you, I was mad at the ending of season 1. I'm not a kid anymore, I just can't ignore this sillyness. I thought mandalorian was a more serious approach to the universe, but it went to the same "childish light-hearted star wars series" route
@@matthewcaughey8898 so you would expect these stormtroopers to be experienced veterans who fully believe in the Empire... they should be of higher quality
@@brickmatt6776 I suspect stormtroopers of that quality started to bail on the empire for fear of what could happen to then via the local population they were oppressing. Not to mention the many hardened veterans left behind garrisoning dirt balls and backwards planets who probably dumped their uniforms and armor when transport craft failed to arrive to pull them off planet. And how many millions were killed by operation cinder?
Is that not in character for Death Watch to do? I know they aren’t part of that anymore, being the Nite Owls, but it doesn’t seem like the craziest decision for one of them.
Considering most of these Storm Troopers were shot In the torso area, most of them probably survived. If you do your research on their armor, It actually does protect them, the only downside Is that most of the time the shock from the blaster bolt knocks them out. If they die from being shot, It's usually because their armor shatters to pieces and causes Internal bleeding. So, main cause of death for Storm Troopers? Internal bleeding from the bits and pieces of their shattered armor.
So you're telling me If i successfully want to kill a stormtrooper i should throw a Rock at them breaking their Armor rather than Shooting them? Dang the Ewoks knew what they were doing.
I say if we don't see any visible blaster burn mark or hole in their armor, they're alive but injured. If you look most of the time in the footage there is no blast marks or holes, so the armor works rather well. They just might die later of exposure and not getting and medical treatment since they're mostly left there.
@@spongeboi.offical3901 actually, to be fair, in eu Ewoks killed some powerful monster, so some trooper mean nothing to uwu bears. Ewoks underrated as hell, they even stronger than wookie i think

Laser Bait Stormtroopers are technically Humans, not Clones of Jango Fett during at the Original Trilogy era. If the Stormtroopers are part of Jango's Clones that would have made them tougher than regular humans if the Empire didn't stop the Cloning. Besides that, some of the Stormtroopers did killed some of main characters of Rogue One Squad in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
@@DigiPen92 Just because Storm troopers aren't Jango Fett clones, doesn't mean they cant be effective and deadly soldiers. Storm troopers were the elite of the empires military and were feared throughout the galaxy with even Obi-wan remarking how accurate they were. @@DigiPen92 the imperial army has uniforms that are completely different than stormtroopers and are also far less skilled than them but yet it’s the stormtroopers that are made to look incompetent instead because they’re the only ones that get actual screen time.
When you know what the armor does in lore, more than half of these stormtroopers are actually still alive. Just brutally beat up and most likely injured.
However they might die from such injuries without medical attention, because most of them were left there to rot or the place they were downed blew up. In a battle senario the Empire could recover the injured troopers after the battle and give them medical attention and fix em up. But here I do think the vast majority weren't killed by getting shot, however they were still left behind and likely died hours later. Sadly.
As much I enjoy the nostalgia, sometimes it feels like an AC game where they wait their turn and attack one at the time, the plot armor is just too thick on some characters.
considering the fact that there are hundreds of thousands of stormtroopers and we see here like 200 dying the rate of deads during worktime are not that high
It’s not. Every named character in that movie goes through an entire legion’s worth of stormtrooper. The disney trend of treating live-action OG stormtroopers like ragdolls whose sole narrative purpose is to get brutally styled on by the protagonists started with Rogue one.

From what I know, stormtrooper armor is good, just that strong blasts can go through it, but Disney insists on making stormtroopers be terrible in every way, like stormtroopers can see through there helmets, have good guns, can aim well, its just Disney being stupid
@@soyboycucksenior5725 This is true. @@soyboycucksenior5725 A lot of these kills aren't kills, they're just debilitating. That's the difference the armor makes in canon. It's *mostly* meant to protect against fragments, long range shots (which have lost most of their energy), and environmental conditions. Kinda like the armor soldiers wear IRL.
At this point in time I have well and truly excepted the fact that Stormtroopers exist only to be Canon Fodder. And they do it so well. It's like their breed for it.

"I wanted to pay off my college tuition, not step on landmines and die or get shot to death in the middle of nowhere then get sent back to my mother in a box!"
The fact that stormtroopers in this show were just used as cannon fodder really agitates me a lot. Disney expects their characters to come out looking like badasses by killing a bunch of stormtroopers (who are stupid because Disney took one scene in the original movie too far) without any stakes or risks to the characters because you gave Mando invincible armor and all the others just have way too much plot armor. You see Mando take a ton of hits, but wait! He’s got beskar and the other characters just stand there but all the shots miss. And yes, I know the show would be boring if everyone was dead, but I at least want to see some of the other characters get hurt or close to an actual situation where they just can’t blast their way through. So please, give the stormtroopers the props they deserve, and let us see how lethal and dangerous they actually are.
Just a couple of scenes with secondary characters having to be carried out because they got hit or maybe having to be in a Bacta tank for an episode with worried medical staff around would help. At this moment there is no tension no matter how many differently painted Stormtroopers they create.
The beskar thing isn’t even really Disney, beskar has always been that super strong impervious armor, and it made sense on how he acquired it. The stormtroopers in a post imperial galaxy are expected to be worse, we rarely see them with actual commanding officers, implying they are really either mercenaries or stormtroopers who don’t know how to do anything else. I mean, they wouldn’t even really know how to fight mandalorians because they haven’t existed as a threat for years. I mean, Mandalorians have been seen as unstoppable killing machines by fans and legends lore, so why is it when Disney does it, fans have a problem?
@@LordVader1094 its not just filoni mate, return of the jedi had them being just as useless as here, if not more, with them being shit on by teddy bears, tho I have to admit, the stormtroopers being killed en masse so many times in this series is kind of annoying

I think the directors want to make the protagonists look badass or something, which stinks, because by trivializing the stormtroopers their victories just feel hollow, unearned, and meaningless
Do yall _really_ expect washed up stormtroopers without proper command are going to put up a strong fight against mandalorians? the stormtroopers in episode 3 were incredible, they really looked and acted like husks of people whose purpose in life died with the empire. All they had left was serving the client and looking for people to kill.
The rusted ones looked badass, unlike the excuse everyone uses for Remnant troopers being thugs or randos being recruited, one would expect Battle-Hardened Veterans, or Fanatics, or both to fill the ranks of the fractured Empire, and the dirty and rusted troops really sell that feeling and look.

Idk, stormtroopers have been shown to be pretty evil. They are brainwashed into believing the empire is good, but they look at the countless slave rings, murder of billions and say “yeah, I wanna help continue that”
The worst part is, The Mandalorian literally had the perfect chance to make Troopers seem threatening again. After all, Mando's armour protects him, but having the Troopers hit him over, and over and over again, with constant Head and Torso shots would've been great, showing the brutal efficiency that only failed due to the rare Beskar he wears. Instead we got the classic bumbling fools, including those two bloody scout troopers, who couldn't hit a fuckin rock.
I shall list potential survivors: 0:20 *shoulder shot was absorbed* 0:35 *scout trooper might have a broken arm, at least not a broken skull* 0:44 *trooper is hit in the lower chest, but has no direct blast injury only a slight bruise on the armor, thus my assumption is that his armor protected him* 0:54 *second trooper is hit on the leg* 1:11 *again, shoulder shot, non fatal* 2:29 *was knocked out* 2:53 *third shoulder shot* 3:04 *bonk* 3:14 and 3:16 *again a shoulder shot* 3:17 *I....he could be alive, but he's not gonna feel good once he wakes up* 3:29 *leg shot* 3:55 *two shoulder shots in a row* 4:01 *shoulder shot....again* 4:04 *smack*
