THE Manila Hotel, a storied place nearby to the US Embassy. We made our way there for an overnight stay and I made a short trip next door to visit officials and see some history at the US Embassy Manila.
“Press 2 on your phone” Hahaha 😂🤣 My favorite one thus far!! The amounts of smiles and laughs you guys had and gave me were great!! Couldn’t get enough 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
For someone interested in American military history in the Philippines, you should really try to visit Corregidor island (tours are included) while you are in Manila. It's absolutely fascinating.
@@TimKyoutube The last Japanese soldier to formally surrender after the country's defeat in World War Two was Hiroo Onoda. Lieutenant Onoda finally handed over his sword on March 9th 1974. He had held out in the Philippine jungle for 29 years.😂 *Crap Game*
This actually the best historical location that I think I've ever visited. The Filipinos treated us so well. My daughter was sea sick on the boat ride there and a lady took her aside to care for her and comfort her. It was the nicest that I can remember being treated anywhere as an American. So many Filipinos and American died there and on the Bataan Death march which following. The bombed out 3 mile long barracks was amazing as was the gun positions and hide out cave. For obvious reasons, there's separate tour buses, based on language. One is English and the other is Japanese. I spoke at length with one of the tour narrators who as still alive at that time (quite a few years ago). The Filipinos were nice enough to provide a nice cemetery for the cowardly and despicable Imperial, Japanese murderers (no disrespect to modern Japanese).
Hey Tim and family, it looks like a nice trip thus far, Dale is hilarious, the history inside the US Embassy was very interesting the picture of MacArthur was really nice. Happy trails it's good to see you enjoying yourselves.
Watching all your videos as of late and enjoying your travel and hotel stay since my wife and I spend so much time there i Manila and pass by this beautiful hotel close by Rizal. Your family is amazing. God bless you guys.
Thank you, Tim for tipping your less than able driver and the hotel bell hop. Having served at the Manila, Philippines post a couple of decades ago, the US Embassy hasn't changed much. You must have some good friends within the US Embassy to get inside footage for your vlog. I didn't think highly of you when I first stumbled upon your channel, especially in your "Age Gap not Working" video. I also didn't understand the relevance of the "qualifiers" detail for folks making comments. I'm sure the "Coming Back to the US Broke is just another act and that you're not really broke. It's just your scheme to peddle some dollars from your viewers. But truly, I wish you all the best. You have a lovely family.
100 percent agree! Funniest vlog ever!! Precious moments, cool as always! Timoy, Chrissy, excelent as MOM and DAD parenting son Dale to be a kind, independent, confident & loving kid.
That was hilarious with the room service number ha! Bless Chrissy so sweet and innocent; Dale is hilarious as well, what an awesome family Tim! God Bless!
Yes good video . Loved the press 2. Man i hope you KNOW what you have here with Chrissy. What a doll i mean physically and Inside so beautiful. Respect
@@lawfulshepard2111 He single handedly negotiated peace in the middle east while securing Israel's future as a sovereign nation. Its in the paper. Check it out
Hello Tim, I was Laughing with Chrissy about the phone. My Filipina is alot like Her. I will be taking My Girlfriend to Cebu for Her first time in June and then to Bohol for the Tourist Attractions. Take care.
In 1982 I joined the US Information Agency as a printing specialist and did three tours in Manila (83-87 / 90-95 / 99-01) living and working on the Seafront Compound where the VA is now located - which when I was there was the soft ball field and where I practiced my golf shots. Nice to see it again.
MacArthur didn't do any fighting, it was the rank and file who did that and many lost their lives after MacArthur left them and went to Sydney Australia where he enjoyed a life of luxury. MacArthur presented himself as the big hero who liberated the Philippines, but he did nothing except giving orders. After the war he ran for President and was totally unsuccessful, I wonder why? Bob. Veteran Infantry Soldier. New Zealand.
While MacA was no doubt steeped in hubris, I think he is still a much higher caliber man than most General officers of today who are complete political shills. I was in the infantry as well and understand as you do. No Officer or enlisted soldier above the squad level should be doing any fighting (by fighting I mean physically sending live rounds). They belong directing the fight. So of course GEN MacA is so far removed from the fighting man but this in no way is the sole reason to discredit him.
@@TimKyoutube Thanks Tim, won't change my opinion of him. He's the hero and all the other guys like me, are dead. I cannot stand narcissistic Commanders who think they know it all and wallow in the credit for it. Bob RNZIR. Vet,
@@daddybob6096 I think one thing that MacA did well is the role of integrating the Japanese after the war. He certainly set the groundwork for a flourishing society that for a brief time in the 80s rivaled the US economy. Take Soviet integration of East Germany or Poland as the antithesis of this.
Watching the beginning of the video, I thought you will be going back to the U.S. for work. But you were going out for a vacation instead. So I was relieved instead of being saddened. Coz it's hard to leave a family. Dale is an adventurous man, too same like his Dad. 🎉💚💙💛💝
@@TimKyoutube Good for yeah! 🥰 Seemed like you're like a Barkada with your Wife. I laugh whenever you play jokes at her and she responded politely with innocence and wit. 🥰💓
Brings back so many memories. I married a pinay in Cebu City in 1987. Made the mistake of bringing her to the USA. Divorced her in 2000 after 10 years of worthless counseling. Good luck! You have great taste in hotels. The Manila Hotel is awesome. Reminds me of the Marco Polo Hotel in Davao. Next time you are in Tacloban, check out the Hotel Alejandro. I've stayed there several times because the price is reasonable and they have lots of WW2 photos on the walls.
I have to wonder what the rest of this trip will entail, Dale sneaking off to somewhere he's not supposed to be, too funny. You guys should document Dale's growth by doing a Dale only vlog once a month highlighting his awareness of new things, and all the funny, cute things he does. 👍😎✌
We didn’t have a hard time with Grab last summer. We were traveling with 5 people and needed a big SUV or van. Finding a spot for them to pull over was the most difficult because of people parked and waiting that should be moving
Thanks Tim,I enjoyed this vlog,I always love airport experiences from vloggers,as I did yours. Thanks for telling us about the history of the liberation of Manilla, and how brave Clare Phillips was,I googled her story after you told us,such a brave woman, and what hell she must have endured in the camp, and been tortured.
When dealing with airport taxis this works for me. I go to the arrival area and find a taxi dropping off departing passengers. Some times you have to be assertive with the security people who are there to help people into the terminal at terminal 3, but at terminal 1 and 2 all you have to do is tell the security people that you want to go to the Jollie bee. The jollie bee is in the departure area. Just take your pick of one of those taxis , but be sure to insist on using the meter before you get in the taxi, If the taxi driver doesn’t want to use the meter shout “stop” and get out and find another taxi. The fare in manila to Ermita, the area of the US Consulate, is 250 -300 pesos on a normal taxi. if you look like and act like a dumb foreigner you will pay 500 to 700 pesos for that short ride.
Ots been like a year I haven't watched you guys. Glad I had time right now. She has perfected the English for sure. I miss watching you guys but life goes on. Hope you teach her about "masks don't do anything".
That was fun Tim now don't tease Chrissy about using her phone that's what it said use your phone 😁😁😁 you all travel like peas in a pod stay safe I ❤ El Nido😊
So I paid 500 pesos for my cab too,,from Manila NAIA to my hotel ,Dale is going to be a ladies man I see he's already practicing how to hold a ladies hand !! too cool 😎
didn't really want to comment but Krissy literally interpreting press 2 on Your phone is just beyond funny. and I'm not supposed to be laughing today good Friday.
I was in Manila in 1971 and went to the Hotel Manila I enjoyed the History , I had Known a Guy that had been captured on Battan and was a POW , it must have been had for Him his health was not the best in the 60s
Why wait? I have been going there for a decade and have been dealing with the people for 20 years. My wife is so awesome that I actually find my friends spouses. It is fun fun fun if you use common sense
I wore my Hillary For Prison Tee Shirt into the US Embassy lol Some Suit came from the back with a marine guard and told me he had to come shake my hand for wearing that shirt. He said people in the back loved it.
AWESOME VIDEO With LOTS of GREAT Info About Manila Hotel ( US EMBASSY - AirPort ) !!!!! DEARLY .... Died On " PRESS #2 " :o)) LUV Watching Ur FAMILY Grow And HOPE to MEET Ya'll When, I Make it to PH ??
@Tim K In what way were you ripped off by the white metered taxis that have a lower starting rate and same mileage rates as the yellow ones? The blue taxis are the unmetered ones in Manila. When I grab a cab I do 3 things. 1 Open the passenger door and check the car is cold. 2 Have a look at the meter to make sure it has been reset and not still running from the last fare. 3 Enter the route on my phone and moniter the journey to make sure he doesnt take the long way round.
Well it did say push 2 on your phone Tim ..🙄..Chrissy is adorable my cousin is half Filipino..Her mum met her father back in the late 70s when she was working as a flight attendant,.He told her he was visiting the states due to being on the Philippine Olympic swim team..( I am not even going there) Anyway there was a hook-up and 9 months later baby Charity entered our family..She is 💯 Filipino in appearance there is no question about that..She is 4"9 has the long jet black silky hair and she also has that beautiful skin tone like Chrissy has..The only difference is that she was raised in the states and to be honest her father never came back to even try to win his Olympic gold medal 😆. Oh,well that's ok.Charity is loved by all that matters..Thanks for bringing us along on your family outing..Stay safe guys😊
Goodjob Tim with the luggage. I like what CebuPac did with ramp instead of using stairs. Dale got an instant gf 😂 Chrissy being a 'tiga bundok' (mountain girl) 😂
If you are talking to your 'Go Pro" why is the video so shaky? Normally you don't have those? 🤔 Grab is basically okay, but the thing is, you need a Filipino sim card in order to order one. Your foreign phone can't connect to the free WiFi at Terminal 3, because it requires a Filipino phone number. Yeahhh, that really helps the tourists.....
