The Many Credits Themes to "The History of Trunks" 

The way it goes from that soft dream theater to the bad rap just kills my vibe.

Whoever decided to include Dream Theater in the ending deserves a promotion! The Special was so dark and at the end after Trunks wakes up, there's a hopeful shift in tone. Trunks is a new person, he has learned from his failures and decides to listen to his mother and goes to the past. The ending is bittersweet, we see clips of Trunks being a heroic badass but now we understand the struggle he went through. I like it when Horror Games/Movies/Anime have a cheesy happy ending, its just so cathartic to know that no matter how bad it gets, there's always hope!

The Nicktoons and Toonami Version was my Favorite one, because the music was ominous and passionate 😭

Grew up with the original VHS and fun fact that composer went and did the music for the English broadcast for GT!! Mark Meza I love what you did man

First time seeing the Dream Theater cut of HoT. Like Bardock, I'm used to the broadcast edit. Gotta say it's practically surreal. The home video experience was truly something else.

I remember watching the VHS at my cousins when I was little, I don't care what anyone says the music that Funimation added to the DBZ movies gave it so much more atmosphere than the Japanese music.

If someone had told me that someone had put a Dream Theater song in a Dragonball movie I would never believed them until I saw it for myself.

First one is so emotional. That calm tone reflects well how Trunks and we as viewers feel after such a dark and sad story. Finally some sight of hope, but still engraved with such sorrow.

This movie was ridiculous can watch it to this day. As a kid this movie had my eyes watering. Only thing that could compare was Bardock The Father of Goku.

Excellent compilation, I was so bummed that the Blue ray version doesn't use Dream Theater like the DVD copy I had back in the early 2000s.

The Dream Theater song (followed by the little rap bit at the end) is *THE* end credits song of this special, and yet another casualty of the dogshit "remastered" versions, which is odd because Dream Theater *is* playing throughout the ending scene, but then it switches to the Ultimate Uncut/orange brick ending when it goes to the credits.
