The doom one is probably using GZDOOM, a highly modified version of Doom's engine. Something similar was made (but not in gzdoom, if i recall), albeat more simple. no portal gun or physics

For the serious sam one, it probably did not work because you need to have a separate mod installed called the weapons mod manager menu. it allows you to open a menu and pick any weapon either in the game or the mods that you have installed. also it probably requires (though its not listed) all ss dlc's to work.
@@noclick hey dont know if you're still here, but you have to go into the weapon selector itself by first binding a key assigned to it. after that select the weapons list tab in the upper left most corner, then after than you have to scroll 1 page next, after that you will see a misc. tab. open it and it should be there. i tried it in game right now and it works for me. long time serious sam enjoyer here. i like your content!

fun fact: tunneler portal gun is pretty much a copy/inspiration of wormhole tunneler gear from roblox, it's literally portal gun without some mechanics

Portal RTX doesn't fully support RTX 20/30, series GPUs even though Garry's mod with RTX (which uses files from portal RTX) works perfectly fine on my 2060s. Weird, I know
