The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Meta Has Been Solved 

Man, I just hope the rollers aren’t permanently meta. They look stupid and; I want tires that look good, and are good.

As someone who used Tanooki Kart before the update, I see this as an absolute win

Imagine having to read up the best meta build for a mario kart game just to win instead of just using whatever and winning/topping

I usually don't use the meta, I'm just mad that they decided to nerf my main Toadette for no reason... She was already bad and now she's even worse 💀

Pipe Frame has a bit of a disadvantage in air and aintigravity. But I’m still happy it’s now meta because that’s been my main combo since even before the Wave 4 balance patch and it will always be my favorite combo 💯👍🏽🔥

I’d more think it’s Male Villager than Tanooki Mario, I said in another video he (Along with Female Villager) are the most quietest characters, so you can make more surprise attacks with items or just showing up with speed items without a trace or something. I don’t know if silence on a character is an advantage, just a food for thought.

i am currently maining Daisy on the pipe frame with GLA tires. the i frames from the GLA does greatly help out the i frame nerfs the daisy class recieved

I dont think pipe frame will ever be usable online but streetle is a 50/50 with teddy and inkstriker imo. I think it could be used interchangeably just like those two are now.

I've compared one combo to 2 of the main(?) meta combos usually used online, and heres what i found. so luigi, iggy or kamek on the pipeframe, button tires, and paper glider or cloud glider, has same or better stats than yoshi on the inkStricker with rollers and paper glider and luigi on teddy buggy with rollers and paper glider. WITH 2 EXCEPTIONS. one, the air speed. the air speed on the pipeframe combo i mentioned has less air speed and control, but i would say that doesnt matter, because your not going To spend most of your time in the air, nor does control really matter bc yk... you're in the air basically going straight. and the other thing, the mini turbo stat. for the pipeframe combo its 4.75, and the other 2 is 5. for me, i would say it wouldnt really matter, its only a one point difference, i think. if you want more mini turbo use the rollers, but then that would take away the "meta" stats, but if your decent at the game, then the rollers are a go for you. And the traction is less for the pipeframe combo, but its only a little difference and only matters on like 4 maps.

All I care about is that Roy got buffed in invincibility which means he's more viable online, and I'm really happy about that.

Honestly with these changes for me, this may bring me back to competitive MK. the fact that i can use some characters (ex Mario & Tanooki Mario) and karts (ex. Pipe Frame) that are part of the meta is a huge win for me

I used Tanooki Mario frequently before this, so I see this as a win

I'm just hoping they do something with the lightweights characters. Not only they were already in a disadvantage since always because of their low speed, but now they even got nerfed in invincibility, leaving almost no reason to pick a lightweight character even on a more casual scenario. I just want to use ma' boy Toad without being punished that much :'(

Wiggler Wiggler combo will always be my main.

Since the wave 4 patch, I've been using the Pipe Frame and City Tripper a lot more so knowing they've been buffed puts a smile on my face. I'm also gonna go back and use the Streetle more.

Happy to see Streetle get buffed since I use that kart alot for the water tracks and you may laugh now on Wiggler on Wiggler Wednesday setup but it's the best of the original boring threats of MK8DX cause of smaller hitbox, plus Yoshi got nerfed

TL;DW: Yoshi/teddy buggy/roller still best combo. Best contender is tanooki mario/tanooki cart/roller

Funny thing is that, if the 2.3.0 balance changes wouldn't have been done, Wiggling Wiggler would be THE meta, since it got the same stats of Waluigi but a smaller kart size

I think I won't have any problems with the tanooki kart. I played already fine with the cat-cruiser, the sportcoupe and the GLA.

I saw prior to wave 5 Yoshi Inkstriker way more often than Yoshi Teddybuggy, but now I start to see it more

we rock petey, pipe frame, roller & cloud wheels. A little bit of everything.

the heavy weight classes got significant invincibility buffs with the waluigi weight class having 0.75 wario weight class getting 1.00 and bowser and morton getting 1.25 along with some other tires like slicks and off road getting 0.25+ mini turbo increase. in my opinion thats huge

Think I am still going to play Mario Teddy or Biddybuggy, sometimes i like to play Metal Mario Teddy and with Petey having the same Stats as Metal Mario (bit more i frames) it's a pretty nice combo

Honestly still enjoying Roselina standard kart sponge it’s a slightly faster version of what Waluigi wiggler was I like using only parts unlocked at the start cause a lot of the tournaments I play in don’t have all the parts unlocked so this way I know my combo will be available

The pipe frame is one of my personal favorites and I'm glad it got a buff. Regardless of your thoughts on the meta, you should still use what you like and what works for you.

streetle and pipe frame have an extra acceleration stat, meaning the will accelerate a bit faster, whihc might be something to consider.

I don’t care that the pipe frame has worse stats than the teddy because it has the same stats as the varmint and that’s my favourite vehicle so now that it’s viable I will use it

I just like using Mario standard everything, drives very smooth and has good traction

Just saying this but I was messing around with Mario kart builder 1.4, it still has the 2.3.0 stats, but I found out that koopa troopa had the same invincibility, and mini turbo as yoshi in 2.3.0, and koopa troopa wasn't patched with the 2.4.0 balance patch because nobody found this out and nobody knew about it, this means that koopa troopa with teddy buggy and rollers and animal crossing glider is a good combo, I'm surprised that nobody found this out

Kamek Pipeframe is also really cool

I’d say Tanooki Mario, Male Villager, and Inkling Boy are superior to Yoshi due to their higher weight stat. Weight is more important than traction, which is the only advantage Yoshi has over them.

The sad thing about mariokart 8 dx is that just about everyone online uses only the meta. I wish everyone used custom combos that they think is fun instead of just using the meta.

Question I don't know I you'll know the reason but why do people play Inkstiker when the Mach 8 and the sports coupe when they have a I-Frame stat of 0.25 but the Inkstiker has a I-frame stat of 0 Even though it is a minuscule difference why not play the other ones instead, on the off chance it actually makes a difference.

I’m honestly disappointed that yoshi combo is going to remain within the meta. I seriously feel like the only one that thinks it looks so ridiculously stupid. The ink striker combo is a little more bearable, but overall I think there’s being so much potential wasted when it comes to how aesthetically pleasing the meta combo could look. There are so many cooler looking vehicles wheels and gliders in this game that I don’t even see get used online. A shame.

ATVs are the best Karts, this is the reason why the Other new bufft Karts have a disetvantage, i think the only Other Karts that Couleur be Meta are the Spalt buggy if they increase the hidden Speed stats or the wildwiggler Again. But they have to be careful because if they give the wild wiggler a mt buff its again the best Vehicle, if they buff it, they should give it a increase in groundspeed, so the Teddy and inkstriker are a Little Bit better. The biddy buggy and mr scooty are the only non atv Frames which Could be a Meta contender becaus of the mt, but they have to give them a Speed increase. For the tires, they have to buff all tires very Hard to Ende the Roller Meta, its very difficult. For the characters, i Hope they buff Metal Mario so Peety will be better. They also have to buff the Small characters Boy giving them way more Speed do be good. Thats my thaugts
