Oh, I felt that the whole time as well. You can also see how on that 8 minute mark he gave him that go ahead to just take over and Killit. Will say this here, but such an amazing thing to make a song that sonically paid homage to those salsa legends of the 70s and have someone like L. Harlow backing up your newly found band on the piano. More amazing in an NYC show. This is just amazing and historic.

I was there. What a show. What you might not know is this was an all ages show. So they played 5 songs and that was it. Had to stop at midnight. Had no idea. Was sooo bummed.

5 songs was fairly typical of Mars Volta in 2005. Theyd just jam each song out to 20-30min.

Was there. The Loudest show I have ever heard in my life. Friends passed by and said they practically had to cover their ears walking past the (closed) front doors. Best lineup this band ever had.

I know that Jon was what kept the band from descending into complete madness during performances, as most drummers should, and that the albums made without him pale in comparison, but Harlow is one of the reasons they're a band. Have at least a bit of respect.

That maraca dude produced 260 albums on one label alone 100 on other labels and 50 for musicians on independent labels. That maraca thing dude is the "Marvelous Jew" Mr. Larry Harlow May he rest and rejoice in peace and I know he's up there jamming in heaven. 🙏🏼
