I think a lot of people will only get a ticket for one day so everyday the merchandise building is packed. You can count on it taking 45 min just to get into the building virtually any time all week. Getting tickets is very difficult so it's many peoples first and only time they will be there so everyone raids the merch

The prices for merchandise at Augusta is very fairly priced just like the food.

The Masters is my favorite event to go to. I get tickets almost every year depending on which family member wants to go. I love that they don’t charge an outrageous amount for all of the amenities, and they keep the course PERFECT during the event. I was at 16 when the tree fell last year and they had it cleaned up and fixed in a few hours. There will never be a better experience.

You left out that winners qualify to play as long as they wish. The grounds crew repairs (with fresh turf) every divot every night.

I have been to close to a dozen Masters golf tournaments . I think on my last visit, maybe twelve years ago, I shelled out about a buck fifty for a really tasty sandwich and maybe three bucks for an ice cold bottled beer poured in a cup. Maybe even less. The following weekend I attended the Heritage golf tournament at Harbor Town Golf Links on HHI, SC. I think it cost me five dollars for a hot dog on a dry, stale bun., lol. A foamy, somewhat cold draft beer set me back at least five bucks. I realize you have to cover expenses and make a little money to survive but the contrast was almost comical.

In 2000 a high quality golf towel was $10 and I bought a dozen.

Just started golf this year and love it, really is an addictive sport and for new players you can play good one week and absolutely horrible the next lol good stuff, also where’s Ben!

The Masters is the best tournament every year. Augusta National and the members are extremely unique in every way. Somewhat of a secret society….

Technically, the green jacket is “presented” to the winner by ANGC, which is why you will see that when it is placed on the back by the prior winner, the new winner first shakes the hand of the Chairman of the Club.

Guys, for most Augusta National club members, $69 million is like pocket change. (Individually, not collectively.)

Just like a partially clothed woman, the mystery of ANGC is what makes it the subject of infinite conjecture. You can only guess how much it takes in, and who cares?? All I can say is they have a lot of grass to mow, trees to trim, and azaleas to plant. Hey, they HAVE to do it right... and that takes $$$$$!!

It's not the biggest golf tournament... it's a marketing spin... The more it is said it is believed to be"true" .

Heard they take in over $10 Million in Merchandise Sales alone…

The Masters can remain a tour event, but it needs to lose its status as a major. It consistently has the weakest field of all the majors and its removal would make room for The Players, which is a TRUE major, attracting one of the toughest fields year after year!!!
