When your talking cost of controller boards keep in mind xbox one 3rd party controllers cost les than $20. Rewire that into this and you have actual compatibility... unacceptable pathetic waste of money. THE SOUND PORT IS A LIE IT DOES NOTHING ON PC AS THIS HAS NO SOUND CHIP@! The electronics are garbage. There is a workaround with a USB sound card and hub but THE AUDIO PORT is why I got this model!

I just bought the F500 Elite on Amazon tonight. It should be arriving tomorrow! I'm going to mainly play it on my PC but I'm hoping the adapter it comes with works as intended on my Switch. I'd really love to use it on my Switch as well. This will be my first arcade stick; I'm super excited!

@@RicardoGonzalez-ms3dg don't know about the F300 elite I have the F500 elite with no firmware updates. I set my to Android and it works on the Genesis mini. I was wrong about the TurboGrafx mini though. It doesn't work on it.

Bought this stick after procrastinating forever on buying one. My first arcade stick, so I don't have anything to compare with. I use it on a PC with CRT Emudriver driving a CRT. Anyway, I've been beating the sh*t outta this thing all week. Seems pretty heavy duty. You can tap the button switches really dang fast. If you use it on a Windows PC, I recommend using DINPUT and use a software to adjust the USB poll rate to the max 1000 mS, because there is very noticeable input lag in XINPUT mode. For me and my setup, anyways.

@@01talima Should work out of the box with Winblows PC. The stick has one USB cable that plugs into the PC. Nothing else needs to be plugged in to either the PC or the stick. There may be a quirk... if the LED on the stick is ORANGE and one of the main actions buttons doesn't seem to work; unplug the USB cable, wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in. If the LED on the stick is now RED, then all the buttons should now work.

Does this stick works well with Street fighter 15 anniversary game? Mine doesn't, I switched to the 8 gate that came with the stick, but somehow the fight stick doesn't respond well or lag. Jumping is not responsive, jumping while pushing punch or kicks doesn't respond, usually you end up landing without any punch or kick, so combo is almost impossible to execute. Not sure what else can I make the stick more responsive? Firmware? parts? I am on Xbox360. I had a SNES setup that was like the real arcade back in the days.

I don't mind plugging in a additional controller for Xbox. I mainly bought this for my neo geo arcade stick pro and my switch. I think my only real issue with it is how ugly it is at square one. Easy fix but even the box reminds me of the late 80s.

Can you check out the Nexilux NXL-95195 adapter? It's like one of those Brook converters, but really cheap for some reason, and it does a lot of consoles. It adapts most consoles' controllers/fightsticks to work with Switch/PS3/PC and it can even sync with wireless controllers. It's selling on eBay for $20 right now, I've been debating getting one but I haven't seen many reviews of it.

Basically you get good components as far as buttons and joysticks but the PCB board has much higher lag then other sticks on the market and that's more important. Sanwa buttons and joysticks is like plug and play legos any one can mod them.

@@marcoarcadesuperplays 4 way is Up,Down , Left Right. Which is in the shape of a diamond. 8 way is up, down, left, right then you have your diagonal inputs which are up left, down left,down right and up right. Which is in the shape of a octogon.

So to play games like Pacman for example you would have to switch the plastic gate form 8 way to 4 way because pacman doesn't require you to use 8 different directions. It would actually hurt you more then it would help u. Now i bought my mother F500 elite for pacman and other arcade games. The elite comes with an 8 way to 4 way gate and you can switch the gate you need to push down on it then turn the two plastic pieces sticking up. Once you have done that it will now be the diamond shape which restricts u from do the other directional inputs.

Not a Xbox gamer, but anything Hori or Qanba is going to be high quality. Generally Sanwa parts are considered "the best" and anything with Sanwa should be half decent. I seen a lot of professional players playing Qanba, but I've never looked for a Xbox stick, so I hope that information is relevant to you

So with the magic boot attached for Xbox One, do you still need to plug in the built in USB cable to the console?

Yes. This does not have wireless capabilities. It requires the use of a controller attached for those systems in order for it to work since its not completely built in. The magicboot just makes it so you dont have to have a controller attached to the stick.

Works just fine on the Pi using recalbox or retropie. Havent used it on the odroid xu4, but it will be just the same. Havent had any issues using for emulation~

The regular f500 is worth it. The elite only costs more than simply getting the sanwa parts yourself but if you don't want to go through the hassle of moding then the elite can save you the trouble at an extra cost.

when using the switch put it into the controller mode if you have the old skin on it. it has a gamepad as a logo so around the middle and the stick should shine red on the indicator

My brother gave me an arcade stick but i gave it back because according to me the stick was not firm, the sphere specifically. I just got the mayflash f500. And to my surprise it happens the same. It has been ages since I've played with cabinets in malls but i really don't remember that the ball moves. Meaning the red sphere is not firm with the stick but rotate in the stick, i tried to play pacman, pretty because i have to grab the sphere in a way that it does not move. Is this normal? It's getting on my nerves, can it be adjusted or is just like that in any stick, the sphere rotates freely on the stick?. :/

You know you can purchase new sticks, right? Kind of rude all things considered. Most Fight Sticks, unless stated otherwise, don't come with high-end parts and will need replacing if you want that authentic feel. If you don't like the Ball Stick, I suggest swapping out for a Teardrop Stick.

@@Superbed2 No, it's just how it is. The sphere spins, that's why reviewers advice to just hold the stick in the middle of the hand, meaning between middle finger and ring finger.

Doesn't have Bluetooth. Most arcade sticks aren't wireless to reduce lag.

the mayflash board has some lag... i cant play ketsui with this thing... i have one of these in my venom i would suggest to mod a brook board inside instead.

This is a "mid" quality stick for starters. Also a stick that can play on anything. Your brook board cost the same as this whole thing. Yes it will eliminate the need of plugging a controller or buying the magic boot. But if you want to do that just buy a bigger shell for convenience. This little thing is to 1 learn how to play in stick 2 see if you like playing on stick 3 dont have to buy different sticks 4 dont spend slot of money on something you may never use 5 its portable. And the size is considerably small. And ita mod friendly in case that you want to do anything that you mentioned. Wich I'd only change the board if it fried and I liked playing on stick. At a range of 200+ you can just get an obsidian or a pantera. Want to spend a bit more get a dragon. If I'm not mistaken if lag is your issue GET the dragon beats the brook UFB.

@@blinkshadown Ive heard a couple people in the past state the board in these has a lot of lag... And yeah I can be sensitive to input lag and have used other sticks and own a few others... I dont perceive any lag with this when playing on PS4 or Switch... My inputs feel the same as the original controllers... So im not sure. I also own 2 brooks universal fighting boards I have in a 2 player stick and feels pretty much the same to me.

@@Madlittlepixel I think his complain (not mine) are the 6-8 ms of lag, wich the "Nintendo pro controller" has that same 8ms The UFB has roughly 4-5 ms if I'm not mistaken the qamba dragon has under 2 ms. Heck even the "old ps4 controller" had 10 ms of delay wired compared to wireless/bluetooth at 2.8 ms NOW with updates and another function that has you hardwire the controller (if disconnected it shuts off) it became either the same or slightly faster than when in bluetooth. Anything that's under 10ms of delay is good. This only If the rest of your equipment doesnt lag as much If your monitor or TV has lag (they all do) if your game has imput lag (they all do) and your response time is slow (most people have a 3-5 frames of response time delay. Ideally you want to have something that has 3-8 ms your monitor or TV should have under 30 ms and your game has around 2-3 frames wich is like 60-70 ms All this talk is for 0.00XX of a second of an arcade stick. When the TV and the game itself and your own time of response ti press a button is like higher than it...

I have this stick and I wanna know if you or any had the same issue I did: the stick will desynch from my ps4 if i don't touch it for like a second or set it down to go to the bathroom or something. It's not a major issue, just hit the ps button and you're back on, but it is annoying and i always worry about it doing that in the middle of a session, though admittedly that's never happened. Anyone else have this problem?

That never happens to me. The only time I ever saw that happen was when I used a third party PS4 controller instead of a normal Dualshock 4.

Just like with the regular F500, the fact that you need to plug in an additional controller as a path through for the different consoles is a deal breaker. Yes, you get access to basically all platforms with one purchase but I would rather recommend to buy a PS4 stick and get an additional adapter from Brooks (or from somewhere else) for the other consoles.

Yes, with the brook wingman. Make sure you have it set on Arcade Stick mode if you plan on playing fighting games with it, otherwise the button mapping won’t be correct.

So the front panel isnt a mic and headphone jack its actally a headphone jack and a vibration wrist strap jack. Its like $12 bucks and while it doesnt work on all games its fun for the kids. Im tempted to reverse the plug and make a wannabe single shock rumble foght stick ol

Nah, Its just a shit monitor. My camera was above and pointed at an angle which makes it look worse than it is. Its a monitor you have to be directly in front of for the colors, brightness etc to be correct looking.

I really wanna get a cool artwork for my F300 Elite with a button layout on it just like on yours. I searched on the net. Sadly I couldn't find anything just the one u linked but that's for the F500. But I really want a cool artwork on my F300 Elite. An Ultra Street Fighter IV would look nice on it but I heard u cannot use any because there are artworks that are copyrighted and using them would be illegal. And that's what I wanna avoid. So if u download a cool but legal template for me and print the button layout on it... Well it would really nice from u and it would be highly appreciated. Nobody knows. That depends on if the ps5 will allow you to use a PS4 controller with it (which is most likely not the case.)

It's a nice-looking stick, for sure. But the only game that I have that I could see myself using it for (an import game called "Kamen Rider Climax Scramble Zi-O") makes use of the D-pad buttons and right JoyCon's stick as well as all face and shoulder buttons, so unfortunately this would just be a nice trinket sitting on the shelf to look pretty. I also have zero idea what you mean by "Sanwa" buttons or why that matters - would you care to enlighten me?

Sanwa is the brand of the parts, that is, of the buttons and stick. It's a Japanese brand used in actual arcades which requires very light pressure to activate the buttons. The buttons are also not "clicky" like you might see with happ (American) microswitch buttons. Sanwa controls are favored by competitive fighting game players.

I kind of understand now. I rarely play fighting games (not really my shtick; I prefer action/platformers or Metroidvanias) so I guess that's a distinction I never really have to worry about in controllers. Thanks for the info.

I guess that's a fair point. Not really an issue I've ever had but I I can see how it could be a problem for others. I happen to like a nice, solid "click" from my buttons so I probably just got used to the extra muscle strain without realizing it.
