SYNOPSIS
A 30 day, 620 km canoe journey through the expansive wilderness of Côte-Nord, Quebec. The route is designed to traverse the headwaters of the Romaine River, a river seeing significant change as part of Quebec’s major energy project Plan Nord, followed by the descent of the little-known Aguanish River. The goal of the route is to gain a first-hand perspective of the land of wild rivers as we paddle and portage our way across the Labrador-Quebec plateau to the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
This trip was supported by the Royal Canadian Geographical Society and Mountain Equipment Co-op.

Been going through a few rough weeks lately, feeling hella depressed…etc. I look forward to every Thursday tho for these videos. While I couldn’t deal with the bugs, the views you guys get to see make it almost worth it. In between the the thursdays( which seems like an eternity lol) I began looking back through your channel and have been watching alot lately. Geologist here!! Loved the little bit on geology, great job on your terms! For future reference, fluvial deposition is reserved for rivers as lacustrine deposition is for lakes. Cant wait for the next one, I watch these while working and it makes me feel like I'm adventuring instead.

The way I understand it is fluvial - sediment deposited by a river/flowing water, lacustrine - deposited by a lake/still water. Great videos, guys!

I only wonder why you packed so much food for the first two weeks, when you could have had a resupply with Alex and Eric coming in. When y'all demonstrated all the food you had left, all I could think about was all that extra weight on each portage, and if those supplies could have been on the mid-trip float plane drop. Great show too, can't wait for each episode.

Sealline Pro Dry Pack 70L and 120L. By far the best portage packs I have used. I loaned out my Kuiu Pack to a friend this summer for backpacking. I used my Sealline Pro Dry Pack for backpacking over 100 miles total. Never had any issues.

As always love you taking us along on your adventures. As far as canoe packs go Ostrom make the best although not waterproof dry bags keep things organized inside. Had mine for 25 years of extreme use not one issue. As far as food goes have you ever considered a home freeze drier? It will take your backcountry meals to a new level and never use your dehydrator again. Can’t wait for next week, would like to see you use those fly rods more always wonder how many brook trout you guys have paddled over.
