From previous conversations I'm pretty sure I have the space. I just need more time to justify the expense. You know how money money works. 1. You can have it fast and easy but less legal. 2. Thats real what you are talking about?What I did last year because I have good credit I went out and bought 5 different types of subwoofers and amplifiers PSI platform 4 15 massive xlr 12s hippos sundown xv3 12s and two fi hc 15s and one neo 4.11 18 I already had two dd3515 from 2006? Reason for this was to experiment with sound quality from the subwoofers?Now sundown and massive or Chinese subwoofers?They are just for bass Now top of the list hand made in the United States I would have to go with fi because they are hand made in Las Vegas not sitting on a shelf waiting time is a month or so?Price range 549 up to 1000 dollars which is reasonable to me now DD hand made in Oklahoma city not the red line series 25 up to z series Not a musical subwoofers but spl is there and the price is 500 up to 9k ? PSI made in Mississippi I have abused that subwoofer high quality mixture of spl and sound quality a little bit pricey My amplifiers mostly Brazilian amplifiers Taramps? Affordable small I'm print strong haven't had many issues with them warranty is awesome Two jp23 amplifiers they OK one sundown sfb 5k street level? Now you are wondering why I bought all these things?I'm 56years I'm a bass head?I got tired of only having one or two amplifiers and subwoofers and when they fell it's stressful having to send it out for repair and my system is down for weeks?So if you love music save you some money and buy you some decent subwoofers and amplifiers and switch up every six months and they will last you at least 15 to 20 years like you said it's all about what you can afford if you love music like I do work hard for your money and make a few sacrifices pay yourself ?
@@ceciljones1248 Ya I have a collection of 2 12's in a prefab box I bought before I found MBE. I actually won 2 B2 Audio RAGE 8's from MBE. Ive given away stereo set up to family. I put a 12 inch and amp to my neffews Mustang, a 15 to my brother van. But I bought all my inventory with cash and luck. Thank you MBE. I'm a set it and forget it guy. Once I have my system set up in a vehicle I move on to setting up another vehicle. I'm saving for a real project vehicle. 96-99 2 dr TAHOE. Everything mechanical from bumper to bumper will be redone or replaced, and it will have a dual 12 set up horn if MBE will build it. If not probably dual 15's in a ported box from MBE. I prefer 12's though. like MBE HORN boxes because it has a wider frequency range (wide Q). It gives more options of music to listen to and watching movies is a great experience as well. Ported boxes are kind of peaky. I like a strong expression of notes below and higher than a ported tune.

With that horn enclosure, will the mouth be pointing up if it were in the back of a minivan? Would the rear seats have to be laid down and laid flat? If so would the mouth be pointing to the front of the vehicle or to the rear of the vehicle?
hey mb i got a poineer championship spl 1200 @1 ohm and signal noise is only 70 this is 1000 dollars aud , my new t2 sub will take 2 times that power, my question is why should i strap another pionerr at 1000 dollars equalling 2000 for 2000 watts if i cfan get a cheaper amp with substantiinally more power and a higher signal noise ratio for around 700 australian,, what makes this pioneer so expensive ancd should i stick with it? cheers from AUS
I believe he said that a tline doesn't have a back plate whereas his horns does. It allows more control of the resonance. Or something like that. Tlines have a frequency peak but his have a wider range of low low lowww notes.
@@tighttdasbino2928 Also a T-line should only be tuned to the Fs of the speaker being used whereas a Horn can be tuned to the frequency that you desire. A horn will also have resonances/peaks usually octaves apart which can be a challenge to cancel them but not so much of an issue with sub frequencies due to active filters.
For subwoofers, there isn't that much difference between the two. They're both 1/4 wave resonators (very few people actually build TRUE subwoofer horns - the mouths of those horns will have to be HUGE). It's common to call those builds with constant or negative expansion as TL and the ones with positive expansion as "horns", but they're actually pretty much the same thing. Both horns and TL can be designed with or without rear chambers to hold the drivers. When a chamber is used, it's usually used to act as a low-pass filter, to limit the range of frequencies that's injected into the path that makes up the rest of the horn or TL.
