My husband worked at a Jet's for about nine years, I actually had him apply there because I loved Jet's so much. Yeah, there was endless free pizza,the owners didn't care what the staff took home, I did get pretty sick of it, I miss their homemade ranch, though, he'd bring it home by the bottle.
The classic "red top" is a distinctive part of Detroit Style, but even Buddy's sells plenty of pies with sauce under the cheese. The cheesy edges and the light fluffy crust are the best parts of a Detroiter IMHO.
Growing up my family would always get the super special from Jet's because we were a mushroom and veggies family but my favorite is the BBQ chicken. Nothing beats Jet's Deep Dish BBQ Chicken Pizza.

Jett’s is our go to since moving here. We tried Buddy’s and I’m not a fan at all of the sauce on top. It just fucks up the mustache to much. I do like the style. Jett’s Super Special and the All Meaty are our favorites. A lot of times I’ll build my own all meaty and leave off the hamburger. They used to make grinder type sandwiches that we liked. Jetties maybe? No longer on their menu.
I often dream of pizza like that... Then I get it and hate myself for eating it.. It is so disgustingly good and loathesomely divine. I cannae finish two slices anymore and it makes me sad..
I know you don’t like beef on a pizza but the beef is little pieces like Papa Johns Italian sausage. The mix of the beef, garlic butter, and jalapeños is fantastic. I’ve been in a depressed place since my dad’s passing. Thanks for the daily uploads. They’ve helped me and my momma find a few mins of respite.
