Went through menopause at 52. I was so irritated at work, the people, the long drive, i quit my job (7 yrs ago) i was too afraid to talk to my dr or really anyone. I wish i found you back then. I just started IF, 24 fasts about 3 months ago & eating healthier because of your videos. You are a awesome teacher/dr. Love that ur helping women!! ❤

I worked on my diet, and have no issues AT ALL. No wheat, no dairy, no refined sugar, no oats, no corn, no chemicals NO ISSUES.

Good for you Cindy! I've been pretty much doing the same thing & feeling better. I'm finally losing my gut from fasting and of course eating healthier afterwards. Not eating sugar & low carbs is truly the answer.

I am already gluten free and dairy is a sometimes food, what else can I eat, green beans are good, I would love your suggestions, I just found Dr. Mindy's video and book today. In youth I was very slender, after caring for others and being an AARP member now, I need to try this. What is left to eat, please all ideas welcome.

Been following medical medium for 8 years, had about 1 year of hot flashes, then suddenly gone, no more issues and basically no gluten, no dairy, no chocolate (carob ok) no pork, no corn. I do eat oatmeal, millet, mostly plant based but clean meats when I crave it, all the fruit I want, when I want. I also did evening primrose oil caps, vitex berry and read Dr Lee's book and did some progesterone cream OTC off and on for a year before bed. Studies have shown 50% of hot flashes are shown to be due to stress in your life (that was a mental game changer), not ALL hormone related, and medical medium adds often is the result of chronic low grade viral issue(EBV). If Mindy's approach works for you (we are all different) then that is awesome too.

Dr Mindy Pelz, I have struggled with menopause symptoms since I had a hysterectomy in my early 30s. I am 70 this year yet I am still plagued by fog brain, sleeplessness, tiredness, loss of libido, hot sweats, weight gain, ichy vagina, irritability, depression. I am desperate to end this torchure. I have tried homeopathic medicine, supplements, herbal remedies none of them have worked. I spoke to my doctor who told me that the symptoms could persist for the rest of my life. I was devastated. COMGosh all that I was going through, the IBS made me miserable. I was not eating more but now I know I was eating wrong. I had no choice but to research an alternatives. On that journey I found you Dr Mindy. Its exciting for me, Im enlightened❤🎉

I just started listening to this book, only on chapter three and already love what I hear. I started menopause at 50, but things didn’t get out of control until I hit 58. I was able to get over the hump for a couple of years then it hit again when I turned 62 by way of weight. For over 90 days I have been IF 17/6 4/5 days a week and exercise after 13 1/2 hours of IF 6 days a week doing HIIT every other day for 20/30 minutes. I get my water intake 70/90 oz daily. Of course no supplement helped nor has keeping my calories under 1,500. 25 lbs is just stuck to me like glue. I have a good feeling this book will help me get unstuck and put me on the right path. Question: can you suggest a good Keto book? Thank you for sharing your knowledge. ❤

I’m working hard to improve my diet and I’m fasting for the first time and really liking it. I have been working on my gut health for 8 months because I have IBS and it’s getting much better. Can you tell me why I need to avoid Guar Gum? It a fiber I’ve been using with success.

i don't think Pelz posted this, probably won't see your question. I don't think guar gum is something to be avoided. Honestly, it really helps people with IBS. I think the issue with it is that it can swell up to 10- 20 times its size, and may obstruct the narrower passages of the digestive system (like the small intestine or the esophagus. In the past, companies have sold weight loss supplements with entirely too much of the stuff in it. This led to some deaths and the FDA banning it in weight loss products. I think some doctors choose to throw the baby out with the bath water where guar gum is concerned. Rather that allowing it in moderation, they just see it as bad and restrict all use of it.

I started into a horrendous 10 years of menopause at 50. I’m 72 now and things are so much better. I exercise at least 5 times a week and follow a keto diet. Progesterone cream was my greatest help. I quit sleeping good then and that has still been a problem. Thank you for your teaching. Im starting a longer fast tomorrow. At least 48 hours. Blessings to you!

I feel I am wasting my time listening to this, I have read the fast like a girl book, and the content just repeats the reasons but without clarity on how how to fast, for peri menopause, doesn't say if should do 16;8 or 24, or 36, how to reset in 30 days, ...doing what exactly?! and is super contradictory, if no period or waiting for period a fast more than 15 hours tanks the progesterone, but to reset we are supposed to reach authophagy?! that's more than 15 hours.... I've spent month on this content, and is such a great "hook" to get us to read and buy books and listen, but I am NOT CLEAR on the strategies for me. Her audio books are redundant, the same content as these videos, so might as well just watch the videos and save some money because you will still be stuck with the same questions.

The narrator's voice got on my nerves extremely. I finally discovered I could turn down the volume and read. I still don't know what this book is about. Guess I'll have to make a trip to the library, take a look at the book and see if it's worth paying for.
