This is such an evolved video and content that only regular or old consistent audience can understand this video due to the references made in the video. Great content. 👍👍 Hard to find such detailed content on youtube.
I enjoyed the style where you actually give examples of what situations made you adjust the pricing. Most people just say experiment and use the data, but you showing us the example was very informative
I feel like I stated the class at morning & ended it in night.(Awesome background) Really enjoyed & learnt a lot from this episode. Can’t wait for the next one.
Very humble video that shows the leadership it takes to be a founder of a startup. Great case study and I wish I would have watched this video sooner. (NOTE: Being a Stage IV Cancer Survivor, I had waited awhile to watch this video because the thumbnail gave me some PTSD. Still hate the thumbnail, but great content)
Love the Half measures comment and use it as well. Also “Dead Hand” in reference to Hari Seldon meaning that something we knew it would or could happen, happened
I've been following your incredibly insightful and candid content for over a year. This video has finally put me over the top. I'm going to tell my CEO we ought to take a serious look at Slidebean.
One thing I want to say about pricing vs value is that value is not objective, it's subjective. If you are better able to convey the product's value to your customers, then they will be more likely to buy it. Also, positioning is super important as it's part of the value proposition.
Several things you can improve from this video: - At 00:58 the dashboard view looks broken. - If you try to listen 08:00-08:05 you'll also hear that the audio didn't fade well. Actually it feels strange to watch 07:50-08:05 because it's exactly what you' re saying but in regards to video production, a half-measure. - If you replay 4:39 to 4:40 by 0,25, it seems really strange that you mixed up some texts in your closed captions regarding Apple Music & Spotify subscription.
Funny part is that I don't have any business, or I have any direct interest in business topics, but I always watch these videos cause they are so interesting.
Wow! Every insightful. I was literally going through pricing options for my SaaS after a customer complained they were leaving if we don't include a feature we wanted to included in an upcoming tier of our app.
Speaking of UX I emailed your company and the slideshows about other companies pitch decks on your site show a blank slide between each slide and it is concerning
Loved the video! Two questions I had at the end from my own experience. Totally fine if you're not willing to answer them, the level of transparency you've given is already amazing :) 1. Did you see a strong drop in new customer acquisition with the new pricing because it was way more expensive to "just try" your plan than before? 2. Can you see from your data if there is a higher percentage of customers who just forgot to cancel the subscriptions since its way easier to forget something you bought a year ago than a month ago? (i.e. data from usage numbers, cancellations shortly after billing of the second year, NPS)
lol I thought the same thing, especially when they cut in past clips and showed his short hair. I was like, I like the new hair much better. More character.
Hello Caya, would really love to know, what tools you are using in recording the subscription growth that shows all the data? thank you very much. BTW, i watch almost all your video to learn, greeting from Hong Kong
being 3 minutes into this video, I feel I should let you know that I love teh slidebean youtube videos but still dont understand what slidebean itself is or what the point of storytelling with tiles would even be. I mention this as just an example of onboarding issues. I feel like your actual product has never been explained in a way that I understand what the value is.
Love the video. It was a bit hard to read some of the white words - especially the small ones because the background is kinda white too so the contrast is not so good. That said, I still appreciate the free educational videos that you give us :)
Hi Solomon, CEO of ChartMogul here. Sadly there is a service based in Nigeria called "chatmogul" that is causing a very high number of misfire/confused signups to our product. We couldn't figure out how to stop it so used cloudflare to block access from Nigeria and a couple of neighboring countries where this site is popular (and where we currently have no customers). I realize this is not ideal at all and I'm sorry about this, for now the only way is to use a VPN until we figure out an alternative approach. Best regards, Nick
Thank God. I never believe you are free till today video when i see your face. I thought they used AI to narrate your previous videos by using your voice.
Okay, can you guys stopping changing the thumbnail? 😕😕😕This is the third thumbnail in 5 hours. why do you choose to confuse me, making me feel like it's a new video.
This video has only had two thumbnails - but interesting that you saw both. Sometimes we A/B test on video launch day if we see the click-through rate drop below a certain number.
