Another great video! Those knives are a lot of fun aren’t they!? My kids thought I was going to watch Jurassic Park from your intro BG music (which was awesome!). Keep it up my good friend! Very entertaining and informative as always!
Very cool video... you don't get to see too many OTF videos unless you seek them out. Thanks for the fun video. My wife is NOT into knives but she did think the OTF ones were cool. I just ordered her a Lightning OTF (very budget but reliable)... coming soon. Thanks for the great review Brad.
Thanks for checking out the video my friend. Yeah, they are definitely in a class on their own. Pretty expensive, but well done. I'll be curious to hear how she likes the Lightning! Be well out there.
I've carried my ultratech for edc for 2 years now. I value the fact that I can deploy it and retract it with one hand. It has done everything from cutting cardboard to cleaning squirrels and has never failed. I did send it in to Microtech a month ago for sharpening and I couldn't be happier.
Autos are definitely fun! That's a serious OTF for sure! LOL...not only is it an auto but its a dagger blade! You are definitely going to jail in Washington.....lol!!!! Great review brother! Thanks for sharing!!
I enjoyed that review. As a fellow Washington I've only ever handled a microtech once, at Blade Show West. It was super cool feeling, kinda scary but really crisp. Learning about the accidental deployment safety was really interesting. I might have to get one for just at home. Have you seen the microtech bounty hunter that was done up like Star War's Boba Fett? It's wicked cool.
Hey, very happy to connect with a fellow WA knife fan! Yeah, I'm with you, I've only handled OTFs at out of state knife shops or trade shows. Was lucky to get to borrow these. Definitely a little scary, but very solid and authoritative action. That Microtech Boba Fett is awesome, those colors and weathering, so cool. Thanks very much for watching. Be well out there!
Thanks man! These are pretty darn cool. I'm not sure I'm an OTF guy, but if I become one, I'll be looking at these first. Little on the pricey side though. Appreciate you watching!
Although certainly a tactical design, the EDC benefit of a D/E blade means twice the Sharpe edge per inch/blade... 2x as long before you "have" to sharpen it... but we really know what that's built for 😏
So let me get this straight.....The double edge is not double feather sticking?!?! Cool review, the knife definitely has a cool factor, unfortunately we can’t carry those out in California either.
Shhhh don't tell Scott, I tried that and no, no it's not. Lol. Yeah, fun knife to check out and review. Very much appreciate you checking out the review! Stay well!
I live in Washington State as well (Everett, WA). I don’t know if the owner of those Microtech’s is open to trades or not, but I have a Signature Series Troodon with the Hellhound blade in CTS 204-P steel and Carbon Fiber that I would be willing to trade straight accross for that black Hellhound Ultratech. If you broker the trade I’d throw you $40-$50 for your time as well.
Hi Evan, good to meet a fellow Washingtonian! My buddy Scott is the owner of these beauties, I'm happy to let him know of your offer and he will reach out I'm sure if he's interested. He also has a great RU-vid channel, Big Bore Knife amd Gear! Thanks for checking out the review and I'll pass your comments along to him (free of charge:-).
