When people are allowed to inhabit a character, these things can happen. I've had players come to me after a session where they just CRUSHED it, and they wonder where the words came from. It's part of the magic of RPGs.

Probably something like this... Travis: (after accidentally disintegrating the Laughing Hand's statue of its ashen state) "Uh...let the winds take you to your place of rest." (Sam and Marisha laugh.) Taliesin: "That's real deep. ... Did you just think of that?" Travis: "Yeah. I mean, it just came to me on the winds. Wildmother be...up in here."

I've never noticed. I was too busy having my heart broken by Jester. To me, this is the "Fix him!" of campaign 2. The more innocent/child-like character dealing with the death of a friend by lashing out in anger.

C3 Ep1 (843 post divergence) is 8 years after the 1st ep of C2 (835 post divergence), so essek is happily living life with his still fully alive m9 family so i dont think he’s alone that often so long as jester is alive to lovingly pester him with sending spells, caleb continues be his romantic interest and maybe even husband (we dont know lol let me dream), maybe even help caduceus at the grove, sail on the nein heroez w/ fjord kingsley jester, teach children at veth’s summer camp for youthful adventurers, or help beau with general research. Point is he has his hands full i think he’s not thinking about the past anymore and living happily in the moment

Taliesen just shows what a philosopher's soul he has. His characters tend to be my favorites.

It’s all in the timing considering Caduceus got stuck in mud again, so Taliesin just had to shoot it out fast!

Well, if you find you're enjoying campaign 3 and want some more CR between Thursdays, I would definitely suggest going back and watching C2. They are so talented, the story is amazing, and it's like 600 hours of free entertainment, you really can't go wrong.

@@samuraiko really the optimal stratagy would be to have one guy, like Charlie from Charlies Angels, be in charge of them. but instead of a phone call explaining what's up, he just takes them on a flying carpet ride above the problem/mission, barks like 2 lines of instructions and kicks the whole lot of them off the side to figure out the rest on the way down

@@etherix5267 can't tell you the exact episode, but it is definitely more towards the end of the campaign, when they were convincing Essek to join them / after he joined up with the team for the final assault kinda thing I think. I know it doesn't narrow it aot but it is a least after the break they took during the pandemic, since they are in the distances setup they had after that (the pre-recorded episodes

My favorite Taliesin gem is his little champion speech to fjord. "Eventually, some day, somebody will pray for a miracle, pray for something to save them, to whatever gods are nearby, and that prayer will be answered because you'll show up. That's how it works. That's what a champion is." That shit is straight up inspiring. It makes me want to play a straight paladin kind of inspiring.

I had a theory for a long time that every time Taliesin turns a new colour, that's the next shade he dyes his hair.

As others have said, it's like Grog when he went "FIX HIM!!" after Scanlan was killed in action fighting Raishan, which is why it is so good because of how Jester was still coping with Molly being dead, like Grog being shaken by Scanlan's death.

im experiencing it for the first time currently and am not looking forward to finishing it at all. im only halfway through and i already miss this family of dumbass friends

Idk man molly's death, jester crying because the traveler didnt help her and molly died, yasha finally coming back and healing only for her to be mind controlled again for months, beau almost giving up her entire life for her friends, all the shit with caleb and veth's family too many gut punches in a row. Tho theres alot of good times as well i think i just dont want all those gut punches while im prepping myself for the new gang to break my heart and still need to break my heart with vox machina (only a few episodes into the chroma conclave). Its like a beautiful story i can look back to fondly and chuckle at a few scenes but all that at all over again is a no go i think atleast for me.

I will say that I felt it could have ended way earlier than it did. I feel like they just kept going with it as they loved the characters so much, but to me atleast it did begin to outlive it's need. It's ok to just end things sometimes without having to wrap up every last plot thread, they could have done some M9 one-shots like they did for VM. 140+ 3-4 hour episodes is just way too much to realistically expect anyone to be able to get through. That's around about 450-560+ hours of content for someone to catch up on. 23.5 days if you watched it non stop.

No one said Veth/Nott made sense in any phase of her time with the Mighty Nein. 😂
