The Mind-Bending Story of Kimberly Kessler
When police began investigating the disappearance of 34-year-old hair stylist Joleen Cummings, it wasn’t long before their attention turned to Cumming’s eccentric co-worker, Jennifer Sybert.
Within hours, detectives had uncovered a literal trail of blood linking 50-year-old Sybert to what could only be a brutal and savage murder. There was just one catch: while they’d found their perpetrator, Jennifer Sybert had been dead since 1987.
It was just the first of many twists that would turn this case into one of the strangest and most disturbing criminal investigations in Florida’s history.

My neighbors daughter was killed at age 22 by her boyfriend who has never revealed the location of her body. Her parents donated a lovely stone sitting bench in her memory at the local graveyard. That is where they go to remember her and pay respects. Hopefully this family can do something similar to have a proper place to mourn Joleen Cummings. Deepest Condolences to her family and friends.

@@andysalter7192 I am not in touch with the family to make such a rude accusation (you chose the wrong place to mourn your daughter). I expect they have made this decision to have a specific place of mourning that would not be so near the home or near other family plots. It is not for me or you to judge why they placed the bench where they did. If you want a reminder near the family swingset and barbeque that is your choice. Obviously they wanted a quiet place to mourn and it also offers a place for others in mourning to sit as well. As for your opinion... it is not your family member, *not your place to judge how or where they mourn.* I find your question rude and presumptuous. Your account has thus been placed in muted repose.

She was googling for herself when she was looking up Florida serial killers. Seeing if anything could potentially be about her and to know if she was being looked for. Probably killed a lot of people unfortunate enough to come across her path. Someone with no solid name who lives life that fast and reckless can get a lot done in a year. She comes off as someone who would kill a child, who would kill anyone. She could have killed a variety of victims with little or nothing in common.
@LynMa80
@LynMa80 2 года назад
i'm not sure. I mean, I see your point and understand where it's coming from, and why you would think that, but she was searching now how to get rid of a body, and if there would be a crime without body. If she was already used to killing before, enough to be considered "serial", she would already know how to get rid of evidence and body, and she wouldn't leave so many evidences pointing at her to the point that she was convicted even without a weapon or a corpse. She's evil, no doubt about that. Anybody able to wear this self satisfied smirk on their face during a mugshot while they are suspected of murder are evil. But she was also clumsy about the murder. She was an expert at disappearing and stealing identities, but luckily, she was clearly not an expert at killing cleanly, otherwise, she would still be out there, so she probably didn't have a lot of experience. Like the Sheriff said, she probably had killed before, but I don't think she was a serial, and I only think that it was only because she didn't have any opportunity yet. If she had managed to get away with Joleenes' murder, she probably would have started there.
@chelseacatastrophe4766
@chelseacatastrophe4766 Год назад
I didn't even think of that. I just assumed she was googling other serial killers to see why they got caught in order to learn what not to do. Most of the time you hear about psychopaths being seen as funny, charming and kind, but it's clear she wasn't able to keep up that facade, and normal people with a conscience could see and feel there was something wrong. We have to remember that we all, no matter how mundane or average, have the ability to detect evil when it's near. We need to learn to listen to our guts more... maybe it could have gotten her arrested way sooner. RIP to her victim(s). Yea at least the murderer is in prison. I'd trade that for the body location. I always see these cases where if they killer gives up the location of the body they'll give them a lesser charge. I would never make that deal if it was my family. Their spirit is no longer in the body it's on the other side and I can visit them mentally anytime...but the killer is still in their body which I'd want doing life no parole or on death row.

Remains that are known to be in the landfill are rarely if ever found. Landfills are vast and even if the general area where a specific truck on a specific route would dump was known, it would be like finding a needle in a haystack to locate two bags of human remains. I think the forensics (the blood in the salon, on the bin, on the boots, wigs etc) and the video evidence (in the stores and her throwing the bags in the trash) will have to be the best evidence as to where the body is. And that would be in the landfill.

Super interested to know more about this sudden drastic change that happened to her personality in middle school. That kind of thing always has a story behind it. It’s almost like aliens body snatched her or something, the way she became obsessed with being a chameleon afterwards, changing her name and collecting identities, killing cats, stabbing people, climbing in cabinets, collecting skin, eating pounds of beef with her hands. It’s like she suddenly forgot how to be a human.

They aren’t just rejected ONCE but by everyone. Women can be rejected then they can go and cry about it to another man who will immediately tell them they’re crazy and then hit on her. She can go online on tinder and say she wants a hook up and she will get it. Studies have shown that on sites like tinder, with men and women who are the same level of unattractiveness, the women will still get double and triple of the messages men will get- if they get any at all. Downright terrifying!!! I’d hope there would be a loaded handgun right on my side tbh! Especially if a creep/murderer gave me a creepy smile! I’d love to be ready to strike in self defence!

Makes you think... Joleen recognized Kesler as her murderer, before she was murdered. That's why she couldn't leave it alone.Happens sometimes. A friend I had says her son use to wake up from a nightmare and would tell his mother that he had no legs in his nightmare. A couple of years later, he got in a motorcycle accident and lost both legs. He is now happy and healthy. But he always saw himself with no legs.

Thank you for this video!! Just found your channel and this case, it seems like every other video just plays news clips, phone calls, press conferences instead of explaining the events. It makes it hard to understand what happened. Your video tho makes it so clear what happened and her reasoning for killing.

What really irks me about this is look at how many people called the police and nothing happened. This is another reason why you should take your own personal safety into your hands. I feel like the system failed Joleen, Kessler should have been locked up long before they met.

This is why you don’t hound and aggravate strange people. You don’t know what you’re dealing. And something happened to the killer for her to go back to school totally changed. Doesn’t excuse the things she did though. Psychopath.
