@@zachlesk5685What a dumb logic! Nothing changes the fact that the Vegas Golden Knights won the cup earlier than the Panthers while also being only 6 years in existence at the time while Panthers went through decades of failures up until they finally won the cup.... Also don't forget about the epic 9:3 loss in game 5 when VGK wiped the floor with the Panthers which made them become Stanley Cup Champions.... Panthers were just a game away from choking a 3-game series lead against the Oilers, so their cup win was less convincing than VGK's cup win! Still glad for the Panthers as the cup stayed in the states, but no reigning Stanley Cup Champion reigns supreme forever, it's all part of the game! Now after some recent departures in which both the Panthers and VGK lost some key players, it's gonna be tough for both teams to go back to the Finals anytime soon.... Your statement is simply illogical and you're obviously still just sore about the loss VGK handed to your Panthers.... Take it easy and don't be so upset!
@@mvpgoldenboy dumb logic? Look at how Vegas has constructed their teams. It’s impossible to maintain that level of compete especially when you abuse LTIR and are never loyal to your own players. Vegas is a disgusting franchise who became villains their second season in the league
Mine will always be Doc Emrick's 2nd to last Cup Finals call: "For the first time in their history, the St. Louis Blues are the Stanley Cup Champions!" VGK's radio guy, Dan D'Uva, said it best tho: "A Devotion to Destiny.... Misfits to Champions! The Vegas Golden Knights win the Stanley Cup in 2023!!!!"
Watching McNabb, Karlsson, Kolesar, Theo and gang all start to gradually jump/bounce around on the ice before the whole bench exploded onto the ice was so emotional live!
Bruins fan here, just wanted to say congrats to Coach Cassidy. He almost won it all the the B's in 2019. Hurt to see that. But congrats to Vegas avenging the Bruins. Heck of a series.
A very deep and balanced team. Good organization from Bill Foley on down. Foley is a hands off owner that hires good people -- Pres., GM, admin and let's them do their job.
I mean, they received what no other expansion got before them. A playoff ready team. They were literally able to steal players from every other team. 😂😂 they were poised to win a cup from day one. As a Sabres fan IDGAF since we won't win one until 2048 but let's not act like this was some shocker.
@@PlumpHotdogevery expansion draft allowed teams to steal players. The knights were not a playoff ready team since day 1. Or at least were predicted to be last for 5 seasons before their first playoff run. They also picked 4th liners cause they were not good except for marchy and Fleury
Panthers cup celebrating was 10X better. Golden Frauds bowed out in round 1 just proving it was a fluke run against a beat up panthers team. Imagine if we were healthy, would have smoked yall 100% this season proved it
to bad panthers but the las vegas golden knights aren't the bruins. they were not going to choke this one but thank you for your service of upsets throughout the eastern conference playoffs. congrats to the golden knights on winning the cup! well deserved champions! 🏆
Last year, the Vegas Golden Knights won the first Stanley Cup title against the Florida Panthers and this year, the Florida Panthers won the first Stanley Cup title against the Edmonton Oilers.
Las Vegas very 1st championship out of the 4 major sports leagues. Can't wait for them to get their NBA team (with the Seattle Sonics). Congrats to the Knights! ⚔💛🖤
I wouldn’t be surprised if the Panthers take a significant step back this upcoming season because they are now the team that has played so many more games than anyone else over the last two years. They don’t have their first round pick in 2025. They traded it to Calgary as part of the Matthew Tkachuk trade but it’s insignificant because they won a championship. It’s all worth it.
Born and raised in Las Vegas. This is something my brothers and i dreamed of but never thought we would see. This topped UNLV destroying duke in the 1990 national title game by 30 points for the greatest win ever. When Vegas teams win championships, they put the other team in the dirt.
Well done, Vegas I figured it was only a matter of time before one of the bullets struck. A constant playoff contender right from the first year, and also kinda partially got me into the NHL. Enjoy the Lord's mug, you deserve it.
The canes outplayed, controlled 90 percent of the series and still lost to this pathetic florida team. Garbage team with a hot goalie, scored tons of fluke goals. The canes must be infuriating.
Anyone else here on opening night 2023? In all the years I’ve watched hockey, since 1997, I don’t think I’ve seen a team that dominated, and just couldn’t stop scoring, like Vegas did last season.
@@kenneththorberg6914 I don't recall the leafs ever making the finals? They have only made it past the first round once in the cap Era. Face it Miami and Vegas is more of hockey town than Toronto. 😋
