I tried this filling with a Rice Krispie and chocolate crust. I just folded the Rice Krispies in a melted butter, milk chocolate and dark chocolate combo. And it was amazing!
I would have such a hard time not eating all the filling! Yes, fresh whip cream is the BEST!!! I always make extra because my mom likes it in her morning coffee. 🌷🌼😊

I make just enough whipped cream for what we eat right then. Next day I make just enough. Whipped cream in the fridge will start to taste like the fridge.

I make this and put into chocolate lined waffle ice cream bowls and I have also put it between chocolate cookies then freeze for "ice cream" sandwiches.
Gotta have fresh whipped cream, it gets buttery in the fridge imo! Also good to know you can use whipped cream instead of cool whip for this kind of recipe. Would you happen to have an ice cream cake technique/recipe to share?

My family has made this recipe for at least 20 years and it is always a hit at every family gathering. We personally prefer an Oreo or chocolate cookie pie crust but this looked really good too! We just started adding a layer of whipped cream on top in the past couple of years and it really does make a big difference. One of my all time favorite desserts and stays good for several days after you make it if you even have leftovers. 😂
Adding a liquid to a pie crust dough allows it to roll out and be handled more easily. Water toughens a pie crust, so using part water/part vodka is a great way to minimize toughness since the alcohol will evaporate out.

I love this recipe. Its very similar to one I make. The main differences are Oreo crust and instead of whipped cream on top I make chocolate ganache and put a thin layer of it over the top! Yum

I am making this pie for my boss, tomorrow is his Birthday and he requested a peanut butter pie! I saw this and had to try it!! I have the peanut butter mixture(yum) in the BEAUTIFUL PIE CRUST!! (Thank you very much!!!) It looks amazing. Now my question is...For the topping Should I make it then freeze the whole thing with the whipped topping on? I will be taking it to work tomorrow, we do have a fridge and a freezer, he will be taking it home to eat though I am sure. Not sure what to do at this point! TIA Love your stuff!!

Oh my heaven I made this pie and I made two little changes. I made a chocolate top and a chocolate graham cracker crust. So a buckeye pie if you will. And oh mylanta this pie was freaking AMAZING!!!
1 cup peanut butter 8 oz cream cheese Cream above Add 1 cup icing sugar 1 tsp vanilla Separately whip up 1 cup heavy whipping cream to soft peaks Fold into rest of batter Add ons can vary☺️

True about fresh whipped cream. Whipped cream weeps if it sits for more than a few hours, and like butter, it tends to absorb fridge odors, even if it's well covered. Tip for peanut butter, honey, corn syrup, mayonnaise, etc.: Spray the measuring cup (or tablespoon) with oil.🙂
I'm not a peanut butter guy, I just don't like the way it taste (even in candy bars). But I can see how this would be delicious especially with the whipped cream ratio. Way to go John!

Sugar in cream is such an American thing, in the UK we have never heard of adding sugar and the thought sounds like too much sweetness. Plus would it take away the taste of the cream? love the rest of the recipe.
A tub of cool whip is what you should use in the peanut butter mixture..it's a better constancy the home made whip cream..i make this pie often and always use a oreo crust it's good. 😁
I would love an answer to your question as well. My husband doesn't like cream cheese. When I make a certain cake that calls for cream cheese frosting I have to make a marshmallow frosting too. Then I frost half of the cake with one, half with the other, lol. I'm wondering if we can use marshmallow fluff instead. ?? Hope he sees our questions and answers them!! This looks too good not to make it... 😋
