@@theseeker3073 To my knowledge I believe it ends ~vol. 5 of the novel. give or take 1 vol. or even smack dab in the middle of 5, I personally don't like novels much since I love the art that comes with manga, so I haven't gone too far with the novel.

Probably one of the best MC ive seen, if you are a grown man being transported into another world where most of the concept you knew are changed, unlike most MC, this guy actually think seriously, he strategize problems, hide as much of his identity as possible and analyze as much thing as he can to prevent any incoming troubles

This and Record of Highserk War are absolutely amazing , when i first saw the isekai tag i was skeptical at first but they surprised me in the end , a more grounded , realistic and gritty aproach instead of the usual immature power fantasy that isekai usually is

I recommend Lion Coeur Senki/The saga of lioncourt. Real gritty isekai. The protag slowly fuses with the world and begins to forget his old values. There's no magic from what I can see. 32 chapters so far. But it is a manga after all, with dreadfully slow and inconsistent updates. I much prefer korean manhuas in how they are produced, but mangas make some stories that you just don't see in manhuas, and also has more serious content, like berserk. BTW when will record of highserk get updated? Only 16 chapters, I completely forgot it existed because it's been a while, yet no update.

The first two are alright as long as they're handled well, admittedly rarely. However the "normal life" trope pisses me off unless they're actually doing it small scale but most just cause a lot of cringe and disconnect to the reader

@morteskellington9047 nothing wrong with a bit of tiddie lol my issue is the main character always makes it cringe by acting like 10 yo in the body of a full grown adult instead of acting like a red blooded man and to top it off most of the girls are bimbos presenting as traditional modest women and get mad at the MC for looking at them like any man would if a half naked elf girl/woman ran up on them, what is this shrodingers thot!!? just go the distance and be a whole thot rather than playing hot and cold, it's frustrating to watch/read.

I have a manga I want to recommend, it’s call: Isekai Meikyuu no Saishinbu o Mezasou(Let’s Aim for the Deepest Part of the Otherworldy Labyrinth) Authored by Warinai Tarisa and art done by Satou Keisuke(Artist for the Little Witch Academia’s manga) I can say that the story is really *really* good, probably top 10 Isekai’s *period.* It starts of pretty generic until we get a peek at the story’s true color at chapter 11, which sets the tone for the rest of the story. The English translation of the manga is currently at chapter 26, which is around half way throughout “chapter 2” of the WN and Volume 2 of the LN. And even then, I, and a lot of others readers, consider the end of “chapter 2”(WN) and Volume 3(LN) to be the end of the *true* prologue. If this interest, please check it out, if not at least look at Saki Ukai’s Art for the LN covers they’re phenomenal!

Loving this one. Usually the adventurer trope is just a footnote of the protagonist on its way to godlike womanizer before running out of ideas for a plot, compensating it with MORE HAREM FOR THE HAREM GOD, but here it takes it slow and goes into the detail of the world building. Delicious. Reminds me of russian isekai books of higher quality.

Really like the tone and style of this manga. One thing I dont get is why there was a time limit on the moving stone blocks quest. The pay is the same no matter how long it takes and no one is taking the request because its too much of a hassle or because its impossible to do in one day. Its like the guild doesnt want the job done. Who gives a sh*t if it takes a year to complete? Unless someone else comes ready to do it faster, having someone work on it is better than making it so no one will ever do the quest. Also, that guy planning to let his gibbon run away doesnt make sense. I imagine some types of magical beasts fight each other in the wild. So the gibbon will be fighting for the rest of his life anyways, not to mention adventurers and the like that might come across him and try to kill him. And the MC's advice about pride and "doing it for us" is weird. The guy doesnt want it done so it wouldn't be "for us". And how does the MC know how the gibbon feels about being forced to fight? Beings with pride do not like being forced to do anything.

I think what’s so good about these types of stories is that the MC doesn’t go straight into grinding. It’s unrealistic and it takes time to adjust. Lecan had to learn the language, the etiquettes and mannerisms, items and maxes, the beasts and magic.
