There's definitely some in the Regional scene if you're willing to search for them. Freakshow fights still happen and if we have "Eddie Hall vs 2 flyweights" or "overweight dude vs 3 women" fights im certain you can find pretty much anything

This was my MMA golden era. UFC ppvs,we, dream and strikeforce events were stacked. The final happened at dynamite 2009, the new year's eve event. I remember waking at 4 am to watch a 240p stream. Worth it.

Yes, for a charity boxing match in which Jose was paid 5000$... but the bout didn't even happen because when Ozzie Canseco walked-in to the ring (super late, by the way), several onlookers pointed out that he didn't have Jose's tattoos, so beer cans started flying toward the twin who had to be evacuated by the cops. Ozzie didn't even bother to get fake tattoos, and José just had a couple of smallish tats on his biceps, nothing that a body-artist couldn't easily replicate.

Minowaman needs his own video. I met him after a Pancrase fight a couple years back. He lost, but was super friendly and came to out greet the fans afterwards. Cool dude, and an absolute legend.

One of the best parts of this whole saga is that Sokoudjou made himself into the perfect villain during the tournament. He was a big, hyper-athletic, and skilled competitor with a godlike physique, and would otherwise be a fan-favorite if NOT for his utterly irredeemable habit of continuing to pummel people after the ref stepped in. He was the perfect heel: talented, unpredictable, and dangerous in a way that neither rules nor officiating could contain. Minowaman could not ask for a better antagonist.

I remember downloading these shortly after they happened and watching them at work. I was totally an immersing myself in combat sports at the time and the super hulk tournament was crazy fascinating to me just because it was absolutely insane and completely on brand for Japan.. WAR MINOWAMAN!
