There is one KTM train that goes to perlis, and the rail is in the middle of paddy fields In Kedah, I drove pass it and it was the MOST amazing view I've ever seen. The gold evening sun with the gold paddy and the reflection off the water in the fields. AMAZING.
Waaaa…. Wish i can be your tour guide there… hope you two have a blast time and marvellous food hunters…. 🎉🎉🎉🎉 jange serik serik la deh, selamat menjamu selero…molek2
You two are really kind and supportive of Malaysia. And you embrace it all in your own humble ways. I wish we all could be as appreciative of the nature and the lovely treasures that Malaysia could offer. You two really open my eyes to another world. Arigato gozaimasu! God bless you! I miss Kota Bharu and Kubang Kerian. And their friendly people.
food hack in kelantan: most drinks in kelantan are sweet. order a glass first. if very sweet, split it into two glass/cup. add water to reduce the sweetness according to your taste. Save money, same pleasure, avoid diabetes.
I'm glad you're traveling to Kelantan by train. I know is a 12hours long journey and i hope it is worth it. This is where you both can find an authentic Nasi Dagang Kelantan, Nasi Kerabu, Laksam, Satar, Ketupat Sotong, Laksa Terengganu & Nasi Lemak Ikan Tongkol. Can't wait for your Kelantan food videos!
“JEPUN TELAH MENDARAT DI KOTA BHARU” I hope you guys enjoyed your stays in kelantan. There are a lot of amazing food here. I hope to see you guys so badly 🥺😭💕
So heartwarming. Made me realise how much we take many things for granted. Used to think the train is slow, old fashioned, boring and nothing much to eat on board but through your eyes and experience, it was totally the opposite. Perhaps we shouldn't be so pessimistic and be optimistic and appreciative. Find the joy in everything :)
The magical part of your video is that you open the eyes of Malaysians on how beautiful our country is and that shows how much we took it for granted…thanks for making me realise I need to appreciate the beauty of Malaysia more💕🌺
it makes me tear up in a good way knowing the fact that im living in malaysia. All praises to Allah and thanks Ichang and jimmy for making me a proud malaysian. i always support you guys. Hugs.
Kelantan is one of Malaysian “Food Heaven” you can find variety of food here. Just relax and try it which or what ever that you find very delicious to see. Enjoy
Tqvm for drawing attention to everyday things we Malaysians take for granted. It s been years since I took a sleeper train. Hope u enjoy ur stay in kota baru. Many delicious food there❤️
9:41 so beautiful... not something we can see everyday, everywhere or every time... this is how to enjoy long distance train ride... so glad to see you both looks so happy!
this bring back my memory when I was University student. 12 hours journey from Wakaf Bharu to Kajang and need to change locomotive at Gemas quite torturing for me, but what can I do when it is the only one transportation that affordable for me (got student price with 50% discount). that time the train still called Express Wau, about 21 years ago. when Ichang and Jimmy decided to take train to go to Kota Bharu, I cannot imagine how they can survive it. thank God they happy with the journey.
I miss this so much. I grew up in Kota Bharu mainly in Kubang Kerian area near the Istana Mahkota when I was in primary school years. Now after almost 2 decades living in Aussie I really miss this place and maybe plan to go back and settle there. Thank you for sharing your journey and experiences with us. Looking forward to your next videos!
That was classic.. Sentimental.. Oriental feeling.. Lovely.. Eventho im local and stay in klang Valley (kl selangor) but i had wish to ride that train.. good memories with good view.. Totally deep feeling.. Welcome to kelantan.. Ichang & jimmy
Team Ichang is so cute .. only looking out for durian in the jungles... Going to Kelantan.. even I have not yet take this train to east coast of West Malaysia. Cannot wait to see Kelantan thru their eyes.. enjoy 👍
It is a joy to watch you both on your adventures. Watching your videos make me appreciate life more..... The feeling of sipping a hot cup of teh tarik in the cold carriage early in the morning watching the sunrise..... Pure bliss🤗
omg behold ichang and jimmy! u guys have entered the state of delicious delicacies!!!! people say Penang got the best food but for me personally Kelantan and Terengganu got the best food
This made me recalls the memories of this good old train when I was still in boarding school, travelling between KL and Taiping before current ETS train. The freezing cold coaches, nice cafe, manual nostalgic train doors and the dangerous path between coaches, special features and vibes only retro trains can give. Never tried the bed bunks tickets (since its quite pricey), but its enough for me to reattach to my young teenage life.
Wow...i've never expect you were going to my hometown, while you were in Kelantan, you have to find this food: Nasi Dagang Nasi Kerabu (in Kelantan got 2 colour Yellow and Blue) Sup Belut (eel soup) Ayam Perchik Singgang Daging Singgang ikan Tongkol Laksam (almost similar to laksa but the noodle is quite thick)
Bro boleh cadang mana2 tempat tak untuk makanan ni? Saya suka sangat suasana pagi di Kelantan, indah dan damai sangat. Pernah pergi sekali je Kelantan sebab ada urusan.
@@AminNazari666 x sure sgt pasal duk bandar..lame x balik sne...dulu biase pergi area pasar dkt cabang 3 dkt ngan pengkalan chepa, situ nasi dagang, laksam laksa, nasi berlauk leh dpt..lg 1 dekat pasar siti khadijah tingkat 1, kat situ memang byk kalau nak cari laksam, laksa, sup daging, sup perut, kne byk bertanye org kat sne klu nak makan makanan yg aku suggest atas tu...
@@AminNazari666 cuba tanya orang sekitar pasal pasar malam atau kedai2 yg jual kuih byk2 waktu petang...kalau waktu petang, area USM kubang kerian pun banyak. Malam2 lepak jelah kat kawasan pantai memana, ada byk kedai yg bukak smpai lewat mlm - sblm covid, skrg xtau la plak...dh lama g sana
@@AminNazari666 cabe 3 pengkalan chepa kg sy... hehehe... nasi kerabu panji ssohor... di pasar cabe 3 ada pasar.... atas pasar tu syurga makanan... pilih je... nak lg heaven naik atas pasar siti khadijah...hehehe
It's my childhood memories of riding on this kind of train🥺 They used to have these kind of train straight to Singapore and I missed that. It was such memories of sleeping on the train and looking at the views outside
There is still train to singapore up till woodlands. Going to kl by train is nostalgic. If HSR was continued a bullet train like Japan would be better. Im sure many singaporeans will jalan-jalan and go back in one day.
this video is so nostalgic, it reminds me of the last time i took the jungle train going back home.....breakfast at the cafe is really amazing and healing after a very long hours in the train
Thank you for rekindling my love for trains! In my younger days I have always travelled on sleeper trains to Pahang, Trengganu and Kelantan love them! Beautiful memories… and do enjoy your trip there and eat nasi kerabu for me please..it’s authentic and you can never experience this anywhere else..
Wow! thanks for sharing your train ride experiences in this special video to us, i never knew have such a relaxing 'sleepy' train ride in west Malaysia until i saw your this video. BTW, those 'Puteri Ayu' kueh is really nice with black coffee, if me i will buy more than one packet.
Many thing to try in Kelantan. Most of the food are very sweet. Don't forget to try BUDU. Akok, Laksam, Nasi Kerabu or Nasi Ulam. Also don't forget those Keropok Lekor... Find some Kain Batik also, especially Batik Canting.
Everything shown here is something that I have experienced but I did not enjoy it as much as either of you. Your joy and appreciation of the things I take for granted is inspiring me to be more thankful of the things I think are "ordinary". I ride those trains and think they're "old". Furui. Instead, you think they're retro and lovely. Your positivity is infectious!
Aaaa my hometown…. If u not in hurry… nothing important to attend to… travel by train is a good deal… can santai2 aka relax n enjoy the scenery… do enjoy ur stay n food in kelantan… be safe guys 🥰
best best best The best video so far i watched from Vlogger who boarded the Jungle Train. Very romantic video and magnificient view. I watched many video from other Channel but your production is very good. Make me want to take the Jungle tren as soon as posible.
Tahniah ichang dan jimmy sudah sampai ke negeri kelantan. (negeri serambi mekah) kelantan ada bermacam-macam aneka makanan yang kebiasaanya manis. nasi kak wok nasi kerabu dan bermacam-macam lagi Congratulations ichang and jimmy have reached the state of kelantan. (Mecca porch state) Kelantan has a variety of foods that are usually sweet. rice kak wok kerabu rice and many more
This is first time manage to view such wonder surprise train travel to Kelantan , beautiful natural green with peace and yes indeed very pleasant and lovely travelling vlog to watch, Thank You IChang & Jimmy , just explode Kelantan with more videos
When in Kelantan, dont forget to try Nasi Ayam Madu for breakfast. Location is at Lorong Merican, Jalan Telipot, Kota Bharu. Also try look for Singgora Homestay which offers authentic Kelantan traditional food and you can also stay at the traditional house there. Nasi Ayam Madu is a must for me every time I went back there except during Hari Raya holidays. Just beware that Kelantanese food are mostly sweet. Enjoy your stay in Kelantan.
Very nice lovely video. Suddenly it make me cry coz it brings back my own train memories. Thank you for the lovely video and the lovely background music which is soothing. Have a fun trip to you both😊
Im from johor and I can stop remembering my best travel journey to kelantan in 2016, Im so excited when we drive we can see alot of foodstall along the road, tasty kuih muih, eating nasi gulai ayam for breakfast, nasi ulam cikgu, laksam and teh beng madu! 😋 I miss kelantan so much!❤
This kind of train even though it is old and slow but it bring back a lot of memory. I remember my trip from Tokyo to hakone. Japan is a train country.
Kelantan is a heaven of kuih.. lompat tikam, akok, puteri mandi, pulut panggang, koleh biru, tepung pelita.. all is my favourite.. dont forget try to eat mee celup..
In the old days we called this, the night train (senandung malam). It comes with berths. I used to commute the night train from KL to JB quite regularly and I always booked with berths. IChang n Jimmy should book the berths next time. You will enjoy the night ride much better, it's like sleeping on a swing coz it's a slow train and together with the sounds of music that comes from the train wheels, you will feel like heaven on earth. In the old days, jungle was everywhere all the way to your destination. Cheers.😄
I took the train ride from JB to Tumpat. Around 12 hrs ride. We had the sleeping beds. I could only sleep 15-20 mins. My family slept through the night. I enjoyed the ride though it's peaking dark outside. 😆
Have a good time in Kelantan. How many days in Kelantan? Drop by on Friday morning 8:00am -12 noon at Markas PAS in KB there will be many people selling food & other things. You may have breakfast at: 1) Restaurant Al Malek selection of thosai, roti canai, nasi 2) Restaurant Mutiara for nasi Belauk or nasi Dagang or plain rice & choose any "lauk" to go with the rice 3) D'My Kopitiam with selection of packed food Be mindful Friday is none working day & many restaurants closed for operation thus lunch will be difficult You might need to go to Chinatown at Jalan Kebun Sultan
heyy welcome to my hometown 🥺 finally they're arrived safely here 🥰 dont forget to eat nasi kerabu , nasi dagang and roti titab okay? have an amazing trip both of u ! enjoyyyy
The way you love nature is so... Inspiring and it makes me feel a bit spoiled and that I'm taking how beautiful my country is for granted. I wish to me more... Shinrin-yoku as you both are.
Staying in Singapore, we used to travel in and out to KL taking the train. Especially those Chinese New Year seasons, my father would go very very early to the train station to queue and buy the tickets. We loved taking the night trains and I'll be sleeping at the top bunker bed :D I can't seat for long hours on the train, back breaking for me, very uncomfortable perhaps it does not suit my height. Missed those early childhood memories. Recently Singapore and JB train has resumed. Can't wait to travel on it one day.
my dad’s hometown.. kelantan.. growing up i hated ‘balik kampung’ bc of the long travel and the village vibe. but now after covid i miss it there. make sure u guys try authentic ikan singgang and kuih topi! my favourites from kelantan :’)
Thank you for sharing this, this feels like a therapeutic journey, i can understand when you say this is a healing journey..so nice to be able to just enjoy the time not rushing and just enjoy life. The greenery also very calming, good for mental health. I loove Kelantanese food but you got to be careful with their level of sweetness haha and if you go to Pasar Besar Siti Khadijah, you are soo going to be spoilt for choice when you see the many kinds of kuih there. Also, you must try their ayam percik, the percik is white and not red like in KL/selangor. I pray that you two will be safe and healthy always and enjoy your journey! ❤️
Thank you for showing us the jewels in our country. We are so caught up in our chaos that we forget to see how magical and beautiful this land is. Thank you Ichang and Jimmy.
you guys went to my hometown?? wish I was there to be your guide.. glad you guys visited kelantan. go crazy with the food tour there and be amazed by how cheap it will be!! ❤️
Missing the old days.. used to take the train with my friend to our school which was in Kelantan. My parents always been there-accompanying me waiting for the train. Still remember how we ate, at the nearby stall at my place. Such a wonderful memories. ❤️ And, us (my friend and i) being naughty, just going here and there, using the empty bed to try on (we just bought the seat tho), but we got caught haha. But that was fun ! Hahh missing that time so much ❤️
There are countless of delicious food in Kelatan. Nasi Dagang and Nasi Kerabu is a MUST, so are snacks like Keropok Lekur (Fried Fish Paste), Keropok Ikan etc. Malaysians prefer to drive, taking such a long journey by train will be boring. Enjoy your food adventure everywhere you go.
I first experienced this sleeper train when i was 6 years old and now i’m able to do it again at 26 years to travel back to my hometown. Almost 20 years and sure it was running since before that. Glad you experienced it once
The teh tarik using that kind of glass look so original just like tasting it in a typical Mamak Restaurant. In most transportation and even in our highways rest area, they are serving teh tarik with disposal paper cup. Just like nasi lemak, you must look for those nasi lemak pack with banana leave to get the aromatic taste of it.
Wow! Kelantan! One of my favourite destination for food hunting... Nasi kerabu, ayam percik Yati, laksam, sate usus ayam, murtabak raja, murtabak pisang and all the traditional kuih... I've been there last week... Enjoy your trip and hope both of you will love the unique taste of kelantan food
Welcome to my hometown Kota Bharu, iChang!!! I miss my hometown a lot, thankiu for bring me along via tis video. You should try nasi Kukus and the must try food is “khao jam”, this “khao jam” is super duper nice, hardly found at Kuala Lumpur
Glad that you enjoyed your time on the train. Enjoy Kelantan & the variety of dishes. Do try nasi kerabu, nasi kak wok, kuih akok. p/s: u guys even recognizes durian tree ans managed to spot durians from the train. amazing!
Waaa..my hometown..welcome to Kelantan guys! Don’t miss all Kelantan food..but prepare the mineral water with you because the food sometimes can get your sugar level high..🤣 Kelantan food famous with their sweet taste..even sambal also sweet sometimes..but that’s experience to know our tradition..don’t forget to get a batik & wau bulan ya..☺️ Kelantan is also known with very first place to found the Durian Kunyit tree at Kampung Pulau Raya. Nowadays, durian kunyit known as Musang King. And one thing to try when you arrive there is Budu..it is a anchovies sauce..don’t take too much because its too salty..eat with rice, singgang & ulam..that’s how Kelantanese eat..go local & feel the local vibe..also try Kelantan ‘gulai’ (some people call it curry but its different taste)..don’t forget the beach & eat Maggi Ketam but ask the price first.. Lastly, hope you enjoy the Kelantan journey and hope Kelantan will be in your good memories..✌🏻😊
