You're right Liadry's is on of the few items that allow you to deal with tanks. I think that it's good that this item still exists and Riot didn't reworked it like they did to Dominik's Regards, and if you really think about it Liadry's is the only real anti hp item. I actually that Riot should buff it and increase it's max hp damage since tanks and Juggernauts are just too op. The only problem with Liadry's is that champions like Udyr and Mordekaiser abuse it. Udyr can build Liadry's and then go full defence and have more than enough damage. Mordekaiser builds Liadry's and get hp, max hp damage and 6% damage increase which is just too op. I think if Riot removed hp from Liadry's champions like Mordekaizer and Udyr will build other items more likely, then Liadry's could recive a max hp damage buff since it's not being abused by Mordekaizer and Udyr. @@DoransShield I see your point but I wouldn't call it abuse. The item is good on them because it was made to be pretty generic and the AP system really needs such items. If we removed HP and compensated with increased damage, there'd be nothing stopping Fizzes, Akalis and LeBlancs from building it and then there would be very little you could do about these champions because they'd one-shot squishies AND deal with tanks well
Yes it would be broken on some assasins, but at the same time more ap champions will be able to deal with tanks. Liadry's gives hp which makes it more relevant for champions that need it (Rumble, Lillia, Mordekaizer), but I see Liadry's as an old LDR, but for ap carries. I think that removing hp and adding more max hp damage to Liadry's could be kind of compensation for Lord Dominik's Regards and Cut Down changes. ADC's dont have max hp damage anymore and with changes that i propose APC's would have more chances while fighting against tanks, so it would be kinda like: ADC's can't do it now, but APC's can. Right now Riot can't do this because Liadry's would be too broken on champions like Rumble, Lillia, Mordekaizer since they would get too much damage and still get hp. I am not saying that "if we remove hp from Liadry's all of these champions will stop buying it", but if Riot did it Liadry's would become more irrelevant for those champions and more relevant for ap carries. Also ap tanks and juggernauts like Amumu, Udyr and Mordekaizer build Liadry's, Liadry's should help us fight against those type of champions, but instead it's in their core builds. I think that removal of hp could make it less relevant for those champions and help other classes to fight against tanks and juggernauts.
exactly. It's a tank shred abd generally GIANT DAMAGE item that also for some reason gives you 300health. its broken. renove health reduce damage increase to 5% and done
The problem is that % max hp damage is working better against squishy champions than tanks. Remove 20% of a 2k hp mage and he only has 1600 left. Remove 20% of a 5k hp Cho' Gath and he still has 4k hp left. Who is more easy to oneshot?. Right both.
