@@enriquegarciacota3914 personally I would love it rose faster. Could get some really sick moves with banelings coming in from the back or ultras. But I guess it would be too op then just in normal use…
In Brood War, I'm pretty sure you cannot have more than 1 building selected, and you are capped at selecting 12 units at a time (up from 9 in Warcraft 2, which was up from 4 in Warcraft 1).
Actually I if I remember correctly, you can select multiple buildings, but you can't produce with them once more than one are selected (either that or only the first building will do something)
I think you guys should bring back rooting for one of the players. I liked it when there was a HarstemFan vs. LamboGuy or whatever their names were and you were each sticking up for your guy.
I guessed 3500, the strategies were advanced, the macro was lacking, lots of idle time, they had good ideas for army control/micro but APM was too low to execute properly, around 150APM, fun game, gg
As a NA grandmaster I thought it was so funny they said 5000, I guessed 2800 lmao. They must think NA is just free grandmaster if you can not drop any mules for 5 minutes.
the thumbnail caught me off guard thought they could be silver lol. my guess was 3300-3400 d2. no macro while micro threw me off. but the engagements and base holds without overreacting was atleast dia
I kept thinking the zerg player was going to cancel the hatchery, that he was just using it as a distraction. I am disappointed. I would have actually liked the play if he had.
You can't group buildings in SC:BW and having a single one on a hot key is rarely useful, that's why camera hotkeys are so important in BW and why they click on buildings.
People have gotten better. Especially over the last 3-5 years, with b2gm, etc. Game has moved a whole league. What right now is plat, use to be diamond. etc
The raven has a lot of downsides. It doesn't fit into most earlygame builds as it will compromise pressure and safety. Then in the early midgame medivac count is really important, the timing of the first 2, first 4 and first 6 medivacs really matter in the options available to the terran and pulling ahead there and gaining tempo is really valuable. Then later on terran has to scan ahead for the zerg army anyway, especially against lurker so a raven wouldn't allow to not scan most of the time. There are some niche scenarios where a raven is arguably worth it for the detection. But in a standard macro game it will likely do more harm than good. Especially since micro is so important and babysitting the raven against queens is hard. If you trade worse than without the raven because of worse micro, that alone can make it not worth it. If you don't understand how big the impact of all these things is, I would suggest trying it out at a master+ level yourself.
They are difficult to keep alive on a faction which is already over-tasked with micro. At least with a bio comp. Any decent Terran in 2023 at this point is splitting, muti-dropping, etc. APM is a limited resource and using some of it to babysit an expensive unit many don't find worth. With mech they are more practical, but mech sucks. And in a super late game (for pros) with ghost/lib, you have infinite scans anyway.
