The constant sexualization, infantilization, submissiveness, and normalized and ENCOURAGED sexual assault is reflected in the way tv, movies, media, anime, and (mostly) white men treat Asian women. I really hope that one day there is a push to hold these types of depictions accountable for the assaults, attacks, and prejudice towards Asian women. This movie as a whole, and any movie that usually depicts a white hero in an Asian country usually is centered around just dog shitting on Asian culture…and I can’t even imagine being Asian and seeing that terrible depiction everywhere. I remember the terrible ways kids would tease Asian students, and I know most of it comes from these types of movies.
