Just broke up with a guy who could qualify as an beta struggling to be an alpha. We were together a year and broke up about 2 weeks ago. The 8 p.m. thing resulted in me developing severe insomnia because he would come into the room,ask me for whatever he wanted, I.E. intimacy or a back massage.,and he would go to sleep and I would be up to three or four in the morning. I work in retail and have to be to the store by 10 on most days and I would be exhausted. Since we broke up I'm sleeping better,I haven't had a panic attack,and I'm making new friends. Monica is killing her identity by allowing this to continue. It's so gross!

What an empty vessal of a man

Sounds like my ex! I worked 60 hours a week; bartending in a swimsuit. Which is something I didn’t mind however, 60hours a week is a lot for a person while your ‘partner’ stay at home doing whatever he wants like socializing, watching movies & play at the park with his child. Now let’s keep in mind his child was with us half the time like 3days out of the week. However on the days he had child; he wouldn’t cook or clean because it’s a women’s job. At first I was like “maybe he doesn’t know how to cook” so I would wake up an hour early to make dinner at 6am so they had something to eat at dinner & if I didn’t do this her would spend money for take out for him and his child only. I eventually stop because it became to much. I would wake up 6am to glam up for my job and at times stay until 7pm (on normal day) or 12am (a long day) at job (btw I work outside in SoCal) He had this alpha mentally & higher IQ mentally and took control of my finances. One day I told him I wanted to finish my education & become a nurse since I initially set school on the back burner when I decided to moved from TX to CA to build a strong foundation. Anyways I left. I’m glad I did. I’m in nursing school; I completed two semester already with gpa of 4.0. My ex didn’t care about my well-being . The moment that people in his family started to stand up for me and I started to stand up for myself! All hell broke loose! I hope this bomb ass bitch doesn’t forget her value! This man does not validate or appreciate her for who she is. I hope one day she wakes up like I did! And if you are reading this, let’s have a conversation.
