I am intrigued by the mix of espresso simple syrup and chocolate cream cheese -- a fun little twist to reignite the palate. The icing on the top is a nice change from the standard chocolate curls and powdered sugar. All of your little twists and tweaks make this one of the most inspiring and educational channels for home cooks & bakers. Appreciate the exquisite cinematography and music.
Thank you Craig 😍...hope you will try this one too. The espresso coffee is for enhancing the chocolate flavor while adding moisture in the same time and the cream cheese frosting is simply one of the best. It is for sure my favorite chocolate frosting for chocolate desserts.
Stacking low flat layers are a good answer to splitting regular cake layers to make a multi layer effect! Looks delicious and so perfect, like a professional did it. Love your work❤️

For some reason, my cake was stuck to the parchment paper when I was peeling it. It has never happened to me before, could it be because there is no oil in the cake batter? (It would not make sense though since it didn't look like you had that problem).
