If you look at your own demos with xray turned on I am sure you would find A LOT of suspicious looking moments. It's just regular for a player with a better knowledge of the game to look at places where enemies usually are.

Leonem FRAG The players didn’t know it was a bug or a glitch though, they thought it was just a new boosting spot. None of the tournament officials said anything either because no one knew it was against the rules. So they should not have been penalized due to not knowing it was against the rules

I remember a time where Valve broke the AUG and made it a 2 shot lazer gun, and during an online tourney it was believed the teams had a "gentleman's agreement" not to use it and in the last few rounds of a match one player "accidentally" bought it and used it, leading to everyone using it and turning the match into a shit storm. Not much of a scandal and more just weird

Force buy rounds aren't meant to be fighting opponent on an equal round, it's meant to be an uphill task to regain advantage. CZ update screwed this part hard as cz is as strong as AK, making financial control no longer a thing in the game.

The missing textures made them illegal. And LDLC also did a similar boost where shox can shoot people is B construction. Which is why the entire match had to be replayed and not just replayed from 13-3 since both of the teams broke the rules.

Neit the boost was in the rules dumbass, they called both teams for "using" a see through texture on the map that could not be shot through which neither team did. Dreamhack just wanted a was to try a get rid of the butthurt fans that couldn't respect a masterful play.

if you want my opinion about boostmeister, its no different than any other part in any other map. there are all sorts of boosts in csgo that shouldn't be there. I simply think fnatic found something that nobody else knew about. call it unfair if you want, but I think it was relatively fair

I think fnatic should have been given the map win but that using the boost again would be illegal until valve patched it. The boost did allow olof to see into T spawn which is blatantly unfair, but it is the fault of valve for not putting a clip brush there to prevent that unfair boost, not fnatic.

Fnatic found it by their own capabilities, texture failing is a developer failure that should not be pointed at the team using it. RAWLINTRU Devilwalk found it on reddit and asked the OP to delete it, which he did. So I wouldn't say they found it at their own capabilities to begin with. It states in the tournament rules you can't use a bug to look through textures, what did they do? Exactly, they used a bug to look through textures. Besides you can still be fined or worse for something that isn't in the law book (even though it was) if the judge finds it to be unethical, which the iBP throw is a prime example of.

There is a boost in militia I found out accidentally while jumping on the corner of the map to see if I could see the enemy base. It works for both sides, next to the tunnels if you make a 3 player boost you can see the enemy base. It's useful to kill afk since tr can't get there faster than ct can get out. It works to ct as well and it's better when there is trs camping looking at the tunnels.

Great video. Was watching alot of csgo e-sport a few years ago. As a Swede NiP was my go-to team and still is. What threw me off was the throw match for Ibp, I remember betting on them at csgolounge, and when I heard they threw the match with purpose I didn't see the meaning of watching anymore.

noteable mention : When the aug was so OP that every match was either 15-0 ct side or a gentlemens agreement not to use it. Then delpan used it for a round breaking the gentlemens agreement, so the other team used augs the next half.

In regards to the boost thing with Fnatic and LDLC, it was decided that the map would be replayed because LDLC had used a similar boost in the same spot on their CT side, but just for information, so they also broke the rules with the texture issue.

Ska did throw, he wasn't banned because the guy who was giving the players their skins didn't have enough skins for Ska. Then, after the throw had been exposed, the guy asked Ska if he wanted the skins but Ska knew they had been caught so he didn't want the skin.

There was a smoke bug in the R8 update as well, if you threw a smoke and reconnected to a game the smoke would be invisible for you but visible for everyone else.

I would like to point out that gambling was banned due to a person placing 1000 dollars on green on a site and his mother who was a lawyer filing a lawsuit again valve due to the sites not having correct terms of service i.e tick box to show you are over 18 ect.

I agree. There are textures that vanish even in maps like dust 2 which have been in every iteration of counter-strike. Either there should be a clip brush there to prevent a boost or the boost should be allowed. just that simple.

bucwolf Also this isn't about the map but a tournament. Think of it as a shitty mine craft speed run(yea ik bad example) Rules by the community guidelines or the whole system say you're not allowed to use commands or command blocks (which some guy did) therefore, his speed run/play doesn't count. Similarly, through tournament rules, this play was not allowed. (I'm not good at using examples so plz don't blame me)

Well you're true abut that but Fnatic didn't forfeit for nothing. They had to start playing the new match from when the boost occured. So they had to start from 12-3 in the new match, with Fnatic having only 3. Thats why they forfeited.

I guess you're refering to the boost. Back then Overpass had just become a competitive map and Valve had asked the players to report bugs and weird things ahead of the major, to make sure the map was good. Fnatic keeping the boost to themselves was really unsportsmanlike.

First one seems like the right decision for the integrity of Fnatic, they probably didn't realize the texture was invisible as you don't see from up there normally, after finding out they broke the rule they forfeited as they had done something against the rules, and effectively decided that it was best to call their fault

BIG at the PGL major using the silent jump / mismatched pov and model height bug got no mention, was it because Valve said it's a feature (then patched it immediately after the major) ? anyone with a clue knows that it was the same functionality as wallhacking but there was no rule against it because it was part of a feature of the HL1 game, which carried over because of the source engine legacy code. chiken is most definitely one of failu's friends as he is commonly heard in other videos of him doing the exact same voice / sounds as chiken does in the video. Besides that, the lobby raiding was fairly straightforward. Create a lobby as soon as possible after the one you wanted to enter, grab your "join game"link from your own steam profile, the number of the lobby was time linear so just lower the number and enter it in steam browser and hit enter. After a few guesses you would be in the lobby you wanted to raid.

If there is no clip brush to prevent a map-breaking boost like that, that is the fault of valve, not the team who found it. I still don't know why fnatic was punished for this.

Koreans rigging games in StarCraft BroodWar in the late 2000s. Notably savior, considered to be the best player ever in his prime, was in the middle of all of it. There it wasn't about chump change or skins rofl, players received 10-20k $ per game they've thrown and they got arrested and sentenced in actual courts. The amount people won/lost due to that are probably in the millions. In the end it was a main factor in the demise of SC:BW in Korea, ratings dropped, government got involved, etc. You realize, SC:BW in Korea is the father of eSports? Even if Steel is such a toxic player, I think he deserved to get banned as well as all his teammates. They just stole money from their own fans. This is disrespectful, unfair and it breaks all the trust the fans have for the pro scene. These guys, no matter how good they are, don't haev their place on the CSGO pro scene.
