This may have been something that I have been pushing off and over-looking for years myself.. Can you get by without one? Of course! But you're risking it for that biscuit! In the back of my mind I knew what had to be done, So, here we are.
Today we're installing the Brett Dempsey Engineering (BDE) 12 tooth Trigger crank trigger and cam sync onto my VG30DE! What's the reason for it? How is it any different than the factory CAS? Just watch. I do my best to Explain it thoroughly so that just about anybody getting into modifying vehicles can understand.

I am SOOOOOOOOO glad that you're making Z32 content with the VG! I like 2J's, RB's, SR's, and K series, but a VG belongs in the Z32!👍 VG's are much greater than people realize!

Looking good! Thrilled to see the power steering arrangement. Any ideas on how to simplify/modernize the ac system? I always thought there must be smart solutions for the ac. Keep up the good work!

I have a couple different ideas for the AC system. Merlin Machining had something in the works as well. It's only a matter of time. The factory AC setup is outdated and can be updated with a way more efficient compressor/condensor at the least.

Agreed Billy, working on your own car is fun, gets your brain going and you learn order of operations when building a VG. Things have to go on in a certain order. I really want a haltech on my Z. This was a great video.

Fun fact, the OBD2 96+ models added a crank sensor to the flywheel using trans bell housing.

@@Billy_Built If you have the 99spec trans you can do this for cheap/OEM+. Use the outer low resolution ring on CAS to get cam home position and use the crank sensor for RPM.

While there's some truth to the new sensors being more accurate, the OEM cam sensors still work very well with standard and some high HP Skylines. Most Japanese still use the OEM sensor. So don't get caught up in the sales marketing of new products.

You ohms you use a multimeter on ohms and try the 1 megohm And try moving try to have hi ohms reading the hi it goes the more accurate “”

I would say it's definitely better than the factory one. The only problem I see with it is that it is ran off of the camshaft rather than the crankshaft.
