Im here in Canada. . My Grass stay green. . I followed a few of your tips and my grass is the only green grass on the street. I even cut my grass in a 360 wave pattern. Its always looking mint😂. Thanks.
This Texas heat and the once a week watering restrictions have my grass looking crazy. I try to get out and hand water (as there is no restrictions on hand watering) between the one day I can water but I can only do so much because it is hot out there. I wish I could get my grass to look half as green as yours. Despite it all my grass is still the greenest on my street. Thank you for your great videos. I bought the lawn root moisturizer and used it after watching your video too.
I hear Texas is brutal right now. I totally understand not wanting to be outside long to water your lawn by hand in this heat. Just be careful when you are out there watering please stay hydrated 🙏🏾 thank you for watching
A lot of vital info here man! It took me a while to figure out the right watering schedule for my clay soil. I set up a DIY Orbit sprinkler system this year and it seems to be doing the job. Definitely getting hot out here in NC. Thank you for the content - your lawn is looking awesome!
I water every morning for 10 minutes because my front yard has a slight slope any longer than the water just runs down the street, I follow up in the afternoon hose down the edge's and turn on the sprinklers on for 2 minutes., I'm in northern California we don't get a lot of consecutive hot days but we don't get any rain for 6 or 7months. Your doing good job with what you're working with.
Major Key 🔑 water is essential for almost everything!! And thanks for showing us more of your personality 🤔 what do u know about the pulpit? 🤣🤣 #tunedin
🤣🤣🤣 I have a silly personality at times that was nothing. But yes water is very essential to everything around us without it we wouldn't be able to survive. Thank you for tuning in
This was great info about watering. I also need to teach my lawn to be drought tolerant. I didn't know it was every three days. That is the secret sauce 😂!
@LawnAmateur Thank you for sharing. You discussed this briefly in some of your other videos but it was important to go in more detail like you did in this one. Looking forward to more of your videos.
Ok @ Lawn Amateur 1st :great video and content, thank you 2nd : This here is a nugget for those who can do so." Syringing your lawn" -research it. This is when you give your lawn a break during the latter part of your day ( 3pm-4pm, 5 the latest) by cooling it down for about 10-15 minutes. You run your irrigation/ sprinklers for that time duration to cool the lawn down. It's like jumping into a cool pool or cold shower to cool off. It's the same concept for your lawn. Trust me it's a game changer. This is actually a practice that's done on golf courses. Here's the key you must be careful in the shady areas as they don't dry out as quickly as a full sun portion of the lawn. So you would only water that section for say 2-5 minutes or less. You'll learn what's best for your lawn if you are consistent. Lastly this doesn't mean you don't do your normal watering; this syringing of the lawn m is done for the most part when the temps are 85 plus. I hope this helps someone, it sure helped me. God bless.
Thank you. That definitely sounds like a good idea and you're right about being careful in those shady areas because thats how the problems occur not allowing the lawn to dry out. Thank you again for your support and feedback.
I was looking at your old videos because I believe in the Kelp + Humic products to grow the roots to prevent drought stress. I'm in the country on a well and watering is not a good idea as the well is shared with enough of a burden. I can say the grass stays green longer from the products I use than across the fence LOL! This summer, I had tomatoes from hello simply by using Root Ruckus, the Amino Acid from GS Plant Foods and a little of their Stanky Fish Juice. Its no miracle to get stuff to grow and the liquid products are amazing.
My bro. You need a irrigation system when your lawn is 15k to 20 k size. In the beginning I didn’t have a irrigation system and I would spend at least 2-3 hours watering the lawn early in the morning. Even when I added 2 hoses to work simultaneously. For my b day 2 yrs ago I gave myself a present and invested in a irrigation system I have a app to set it up to water 2 am until 5 : 30 am in zones every other day. Even though I don’t have to use it constantly in the last few yrs since the weather in the world is screwed since we get far more rain. I don’t regret it since it’s an investment with return on selling house plus I do a lot of my own lawn care that I can water anytime I want or need. Don’t wait until later for irrigation system like I did If you can buy new house with irrigation at closing. Save up if need be. But I appreciate your content.
Thank god for the northeast rain this weekend my grass grows so fast especially my backyard cut twice a week could do 3 times but its just too hot i sweat so bad its like im geting a inch lol
Love you videos.. Have you considered one on the different types of additives that can be applied and if they can be applied together. Like fertilizer with Iron and maybe wetting agent all at the same time? How often to apply it? I have been thinking of adding vermiculite or compost after aeration along the edges for dry spots or just adding sand. Any suggestions? Keep up your good work. We love it!
Lawn Amateur how do you do? Watched the watering video and I was watering my lawn every day now I will change up to 2 days a week and see what happens; My lawn is still green since I put the Sta Green Lime in about 3 weeks ago so now should I put some Sta Green fertilizer with iron down? Soaking up the lawn knowledge you putting out; Thanks 🙏🏾
And another awesome and informative video from our favorite lawn dude. Grass on point ✅ Waves on point ✅ and even a joke about doing a sermon. Hey, i would watch you give a sermon as well hahaha. I’d probably learn a thing or two there as well. Thanks so much once again for doing what you do and how you do it. Your hard work undoubtedly pays off sir.
I have to tell you something. I have been in the lawn care community for approx 9 years now. Your style videos is what originally caught my interest. Your are one of a few that actually stoll holds my interest. Your videos are very interesting and genuine if that makes sense. I appreciate you. It's a breath of fresh air to watch content that isn't sales driven.. Keep being you. 👍💯👊
@SuperTA329 I take pride in showing the everyday people that it doesn't take much to maintain and have a nice lawn. Sometimes with all the fancy equipment and high price products that get shown sometimes it very unrealistic and discouraging for the average DIYers. I appreciate your support and encouragement thank you
Not sweatin like you on the pulpit 🤣🤣 I'm surprised you have dogs because your lawn is so nice and lush. Do they only do their business while on the walks? I don't see any spots in your lawn.
first try watering those areas longer. If that fails try adding a little soil over the dry spots. If both those fail I have seen some people drill 1 inch holes and add potting soil. All plants & grass need good soil to grow.
My neighbor's lawn has about one hundred billion weeds and waters with in-ground irrigation every late morning for 3 to 4 hours. Never fertilizes. It looks really bad, like the light green color inside a lime. Always waters when I'm trying to cut my grass 😞
