That was one MOTHER of a tour. Saw them in Flushing, Queens in the old Shea Stadium (home of the Mets). They were fantastic!!! They alternated the songs "One Hit" and "Harlem Shuffle" on those shows. (We got the latter though, but it was still great.)
Yeah, all right ! Love that song , crazy that it can even be called a deep cut ! Looking forward to the coverage of the tour and all your other content, Justin ! 👍
Yea , Great fun 😊 Thank you ! I usually go on virtual tour . Its nice when you see them First not to ruin the surprise , I love my virtual European tours 😊. Never miss a show 😊. One cool thing about youtube
@@HangFireStonesPodcast I'm torn & frayed about knowing what's coming before I see them . I may wait & work my way backwards 😀 My shows early in the tour . I think your shows are at the end . Do you plan on seeing them outside los angeles ? Are you going to both shows ?
Nurtz! I lost. But One Hit to the Body is an excellent choice by the voters. Always loved that one. In fact I'm the one fan who really likes Dirty Work.
I absolutely LOVE the "Dirty Work" album! (Released in 1986) I play that one even more than certain other Stones albums. Side Two is especially awesome, starting with the phenomenal sports song "Winning Ugly" with Ronnie and Keith kicking heavy-duty ars with their guitar assault, followed by the strong social commentary (and Jazzy) "Back To Zero" then comes the title-track "Dirty Work" which is another strong commentary on how the rich can take advantage of the poor, and is one of the wildest hard-rocking songs The Stones have ever done. Then comes the absolute favorite "Had It With You" which can certainly remind you of vintage Rolling Stones - to everyone I spoke to about the album at that time, it was a huge favorite. And finally the Keith ballad "Sleep Tonight". And that's just side TWO.
@@HangFireStonesPodcast I think the awful album cover contributes greatly. That Miami Vice inspired wardrobe doesn't do the album any favors. The album isn't atrocious by any means. Not a classic but better than it's given credit.
Need Mick Taylor for Time Waits For No One, need Wayne Perkins for Hand of Fate and need Jimmy Page for One Hit To The Body. Just kidding, would love to hear all three, but chances of that happening are zero.
I'm not, maybe the greatest song ever, but at 80+, the boys don't need the headaches caused by low-IQ woke lunatics, so I don't expect to hear it. I'll also say that I've had my fill of Stones Standards, and want to hear the rarities ✌️
