"The House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, assault on the U.S. Capitol released its highly anticipated final report Thursday, presenting a full account of its findings on former President Donald Trump's efforts to maintain power.
Trump was "central cause": The report puts the blame squarely on the former president: "The central cause of January 6th was one man, former President Donald Trump, whom many others followed. None of the events of January 6th would have happened without him."
Report is more than 800 pages: The more than 800-page report describes the panel's findings as a result of its 18-month investigation into the Capitol attack, including the basis for the committee's recommendation that the Justice Department prosecute a former president for the first time in U.S. history."

I agree with you. He'll be on the ticket in 2024. Even if there was plenty of evidence to indict and bring him to trial, there's no way that it could be accomplished before Nov 2024. I think that Garland would prefer it that way and is the reason he saddled Jake Smith with conducting 3 separate investigations before handing over his report. If Smith could focus on one at a time and refer the documents' case first, it could be wrapped up in 12-14 months because it's the easiest to prosecute as it's fairly straightforward and there's tangible, visual evidence. Three separate investigations to investigate and report are going to take 2 years to do. Even if he's convicted later on, his sentence won't be in a prison. It'll be some type of modified home confinement because he is a former POTUS. It's unbelievable

USCP Chief (a Republican) asked the House Sergeant at Arms (also a Republican) for permission to request NG prior to Jan 6. The SA blocked the request. On Jan 6, the Chief made repeated requests of the SA over nearly a hour. As of mid 2021, USCP Chief can now ask DoD directly without needing permission.

Also when I saw the tirade that he went after this report came out the first thing I had to say was if he really was denying every single thing true I would have loved to have seen him go and testify to Congress that it ain't true. Not only would he be in contempt for lying under oath but also even if the truth came out he's still in a corner he still has to do time. Wasn't it a witness that was asked about Ray Epps? Additionally, Ray Epps has given several interviews. He and his adult son went 8mto the Capitol, saw what was happening and immediately walked back outside. He called the FBI as soon as it was announced the FBI wanted tips on who people in the videos were. He was in one of the videos they posted standing outside & because he wasn't arrested, some nut jumped to the conclusion that he must be an FBI undercover or informant. Epps was one of the first J6ers who turned himself in and met with the FBI. B/c he walked in and right back out after seeing what was happening, the FBI didn't charge him and others like him. That poor man and his wife have gone through hell b/c MAGAs have a conspiracy theory that he was an FBI informant. He and his wife had to sell their small family biz and home and bought a trailer 2 states away on the side of a mountain because of all the threats they received online AND in person. He wasn't ready financially to retire, but because of the threats, he can't even get a job. There was no reason for the J6 to waste time in a televised hearing discussing people like Epps, who didn't partake in the violence or destruction on J6. Please leave that poor man and his wife alone-- they have literally lost their lives!
